My guess is that they're busy trying to stabilize their network and doing more testings.

They've already said users will hear from them 2 months before they start charging, and that they won't do it unless users agree to continue.

Either give them more time or shelf your SIM card/s. Choice is pretty much in our own hands. :)

Only if this is your 2nd SIM line.
This means technical team and admin team is out of sync.
Hope iMDA will step in to investigate the way they operate. 5G is around soon and yet they are not even ready for 4G after 1 over years!

Then why send send sms and email to inform that my free contract is extended for 1 months?

Someone in TPG screw up?

I think initially TPG expect to launch commercial plan around Jan/Feb 2020 thats why many who registered trial Jan 2019 received email about 1 month extension but TPG experience delay again hence the extension is now indefinite until further instruction from TPG

Investigate what? Imda give them till end of the year to fix up the tunnel network.

More like you need to fix yourself by reading up more.

By that time, other Telco should have been started 5G network testing already.

TPG is already 1 year late for the implementation.

Read up more.

2 Telco will only be offer to build 5g
The others 2 telco including mvno will buy the service from the 5g Telco.

Why 2 Telco?
The two Telco will not be using the same company manufactured device.

To be exact, 3 (actually will be 4) Telco if you read the news. There is 3 5G licenses to be out for Singapore. Exactly which 5G vendor is not known yet. Singtel is on his own, M1 and Starhub is partner together to get 1. So believe the 3 license will go to TPG or a unknown Telco for the time been.

We are not talking about those virtual Telco at this moment. We are also not talking about which 5G vendor will be used.

Problem is I switched to another Telco based on the end date mentioned in the email! After that found the TPG line continue to work. They never write to me again on new expired date!

Quite badly managed.

Like I said, they're probably putting priority to stabilizing their network, rather than updating each and every user. I remember reading somewhere that we can check their updates from TPG website... and from their FB page, we can get the updates too.

Unless there's a telco phone or number I can't wait to get, I won't be in a hurry to get a new replacement line, since it's not difficult to get it quite quickly if so desired.

(Having said that, I believe most of us aren't using our TPG SIM card as our primary line if we need a stable connection. TPG is after all only doing a trial run all this while.)

I don't know about you, but from what I've read from their website from before I got my first TPG SIM card, my understanding is that my TPG line will not be disrupted so long as I don't hear from them, either through SMS, email, news, their FB page, etc.

Anyway, you can now either get your second TPG SIM card if you want to continue using their free trial service, or move on to just using your new telco one. :)

[Update on MNP service]

Dear TPG subscribers,

Following the launch of our Mobile Number Porting (MNP) Service on 5 February 2020, we have noticed that Singtel Mobile has repeatedly denied all valid porting requests to TPG. Hence we would like to inform all our subscribers that number port-in requests from Singtel Mobile and their associated MVNOs to TPG will not be possible presently.
This affects consumers’ freedom of choice and we have raised your concerns to the relevant authorities. We seek your understanding and patience in this matter. Please stay tuned to our Community Site or follow us on our Facebook page to receive updates on this matter. We thank you for your continued support of TPG.

Kind regards,
TPG

Does this mean M1 and SH are allowing the porting, or only ST users are porting over so far? :D
