Anyone here owns an ultimate ears 900s? Any thoughts on it? And where can I find them in Singapore?
Not 100% sure about UE900s, but I do have UE900 ... it is sounds pretty good. But for that price range, there are quite a few alternative options available.
Just received my Earwerkz Supra Universal (Kickstarter), I would say the noise isolation and fit is a lot better than the UE900. Less than 10 hrs of burn in, and I like what I am hearing.![]()
I have the UE900S. The earbuds are light in weight and quite comfortable to wear. It comes with a lot of accessories and spare buds and at the price point, it's quite value for money. I like the sound signature, though I suggest you try it somehow before you buy because sound is subjective after all. I got mine from Amazon.com and hence I would recommend it due to the good sound quality at this price point.
AV1 has. Can go demo.
You could also try Sony Hybrid XBA series for the same price range...
I heard Soundwavez has a unit for sale at $210, but it's a demo unit. Anyways it's an amazing IEM IMHO I reshelled mine after it broke haha.
UE900 was plagued with problems haha.. I bought in 2012. First the cable cut in and out about a year after use. Then in 2014 I accidentally put some textbooks on it, next morning gone case the entire shell cracked.
Yea, I read from Head-Fi that the UE 900 had alot of build quality issues. That is why they finally discontinued it and release the UE 900s lol. How much was the reshelling?
I read somewhere that reshelling will totally change the sound signature tho. Did it change?
Cost me $279 to reshell from Rooth at Null Audio. Sound sig doesn't really change much, in fact I like it much more now that it fits my ear perfectlyif you can find the 900s (even though it has been discontinued), get it, you won't regret haha

I too experienced the audio issue(s) that was much talked about with the pair of UE 900 I bought in Oct 2013. I recently contacted UE Support and they replaced it with the UE 900s which is of course a pleasant surprise.
Yes to both.lol are you leinadhok who posted in the Head Fi forums?
Also were ur UE 900 still under warrenty when you contacted them?
Bought locally, but contacted UE direct as I didn't know I could go to Ban Leong. Silly me.Just a question, did you buy your UE900 in Singapore or online? I thought any issues with the earphones should go back to Ban Leong?
