Bought locally, but contacted UE direct as I didn't know I could go to Ban Leong. Silly me.

Actually, it will be better to contact UE directly in this case instead of Ban Leong. Cos, I think Ban Leong will most likely replace his with a UE 900(old) instead of what UE has done and replaced it with a UE 900s(new). From what I know, Ban Long does not have the rights to bring UE 900s to Singapore.

Hooted the UE 900s and so far they sound amazing. My only minor nitpick so far with it is that female vocals on the upper mids tend to sound abit lacking of body/lushness.

Maybe it is just me but is there anyone who experience this?

However, it is still an excellent sounding iem.

Sound cut off on the left side sometimes....

Then it is probably the build quality issues that have plagued the ue 900(old). Hopefully they replace urs with the UE 900s.

Do update if they do as it will tell me what kind of Customer Service they have lol.

So what's the process to get your UE900 replaced? Do you need to mail back the faulty earpeice?

Thanks. How are ur UE 900s so far. Do they sound different from the UE 900 to you?
To me, there is a slight (good) difference between the UE 900s I received and the UE 900 that I sent back. Built (unibody) wise also feels more solid.

The problem was gone, but the bad build quality was evident one month after warranty expired. Shell cracked end up have to reshell..

Lol didn't you put textbooks on it that cause the shell to crack?

Despite the UE 900(old) have known build quality issues, IMO i think it depends on how heavy your textbooks were for it to be considered spoiled due to build quality tho.
