...

Question. At that time when you bought your UE 900, did it come with gold-plated connectors? Btw when you send your UE 900 for replacement, did you have to send them a copy of your receipt for warranty verification?
Sorry nanotech25, can't recall the colour of the connectors.

I wasn't asked for any.

it is k. Just wondering which batch was it where you bought it.

And if there did not ask for a receipt for warranty verification and depending on the results of kiddream's replacement then the $200 deal for the UE 900 might be a super good steal.

Sian paid $550 for mine and still got issues...

I feel your pain. Why not wait for kiddream to reply. See what ban leong does wrt his spoiled set. If it is good news, maybe you can try to replace them again?
Btw if you do not mind me asking, about when did you purchase them?

whats the diff between the different coloured connectors? which is better or for worse?

The older batches of ue 900 if i am not wrong the connectors are silver plated while the "later" batches are gold plated.

I am not very sure abt this so take it with a pitch of salt. But from what i read, the gold plated connectors are better. Apparently it has something to do with silver being more prone to having residue buld up which will affect the sound being transmitted.

Edit: ok. Maybe they are not silver. so i will just call it non gold.
