Same. I'm going in mid November on weekday too. Likely Tuesday or Wednesday. But don't intend to buy express pass. It's really damn ex... I'm intending to go 1 hour before official opening time for the popular rides.

The express pass really damn chor. Like almost 2x the price of the normal pass. Somemore need to buy both pass. I'm still thinking. But thank goodness the Chinese tourist are staying away.

Yeh there is that option I can consider too. So it's like even earlier haha. I may consider that. At least 1st hour or so go for the more popular rides.
According to online reviews and youtube videos, the YouTubers are recommending us to be there 1 hour before official time because the park can open before that.

The park open earlier than official time, but not quite 1 hour before. If you enter before official time, SNW and HPW doesn't need timed entry. This give you more time freedom to do what you want in the park for the rest of the day as you are only limited by 1 timed entry area instead of 2. It is preferred to reach the entrance AT LEAST 1 hour before especially during peak month.

I going USJ in Nov, probably Tuesday or Wednesday and the booking window had open.
It's not a Japan PH / School holiday which I think should be off peak.

There are different types of tickets and most likely I'll be getting just a normal entrance instead of early access as worried kids might not be able to wake up and go there early on time.
My main purpose of visiting USJ is SMW.....

May I know would it be possible for us to get a chance to enter SMW if we just buy the normal pass and supposing we reached there an hour after the park open?
We are in a group of 4 adults and 3 young children's..

download USJ app. On entering the park try to book smw area timed entry tickets. Make sure you scan all the tickets and select then when doing so. This is free. Standby tickets will be offered when timed entry tickets is given out.

A lot depends on crowd on day of your visit.

If you are able to enter the park before official hour, just head to SNW directly, no need for timed entry. Stay there until you have enough. Once you exit, you may be required to get timed entry to re-enter depending on the crowd.

Not getting….too expensive just for SNW
the Youngest child height I think can only ride those kiddos play
2nd one maybe half of the rides.

early access is Approx $150 more for 7 tickets but worried we reached late den no point.

How is USJ crowd during weekdays? Still very crowded? Pre-pandemic I dont need to get express pass and could get to ride Harry Potter with not much waiting time.

if you want to enjoy it's best to buy the Express Pass. just came back from trip. experience at USJ was so different this time without having to queue long mins. highly recommend the Harry Potter section and ride.
