$500 mininum spend is applicable across all cards right? As an example if i spend $200 on my debit card and the other $300 on my one card.
yes. but remember to exclude some transactions that are excluded from calculation. e.g. govt services.

Considering opening this account. I read some members here used giro for credit card payment. This works for both UOB cards and other bank cards right?

If so, why not use this method and charge telco/utility bills to other credit cards for rebates instead of simply giro?

Yes, giro payment for UOB cc and other banks' cc will be counted towards the 3 giro payments for clocking bonus interest. However pls note that only for UOB cc, you can apply from UOB IB. For other banks cc, you need to download the hardcopy giro form from the respective card issuing bank to setup the giro arrangement.

The main reason for not doing this is because usually ppl have no problem in hitting the 3 giro payments every month, and it is not easy to ensure you hit both UOB ONE card min spending and also another bank's card min spending.

Ah I see, thanks for confirming the other bank credit card giro payment as eligible. I understand that most people do indeed prefer to pay utilities etc bills

My statement date was adjusted to be 1st to 30th monthly with the four quarters of each year matching the quarter rebate.
My Jan, Feb and Mar clocked more than $2k each month and I was expecting $300 to be credited as rebate in April. But turns out I only received $100. :s11:

I think you better ask UOB on this...

Now Visa cards can be used for paying MRT rides. Do such transactions qualify towards 500$ spend?
