In short to mitigate this,
1) Switch grab payment to cc instead of grabpay. Can still count for bonus interest and rebate.
2) Insurance recurring payment can still keep to earn bonus interest but not counted for rebate

i'm asking my RM. but I think most likely is gg liao. feels cheated as she'd only sold me the plan late last year and the premium is 5-year payable.

the bank should only apply the new ruling to new plans purchased after 16 March. but I doubt they care.

u are referring to the prudential plan that qualifies for $500 cc spend? Since it was sold by UOB, it would be really terrible of them to disqualify it. besides, aren't the RMs desperate for more people to sign up for the plan? :s8:

It will be a bad move if this happens as it's business ethics and lost trust from customer.

For top-up wallet, 16 march is based on transaction date or posted date?
As for grab app, if the payment we select using uob one cc instead of wallet, still able to get the rebate if 500 is spend?

Wrong. It’s not Prudnetial bankers sold you the plans. It’s UOB bankers who sold you the plan. They are direct hired by UOB, not the insurer.

I wonder those of us who are paying monthly premiums to Prudential through UOB will also be affected? After all, it is their bankers who sold us the plans.

not sure what you're trying to correct by saying "wrong". and what you mean by "Prudential bankers"? Prudential is a bank?

Can I ask for those who's paying Standard Chartered credit cards using UOB One account via Giro, is there a min. amount for the Giro to be triggered? I have a $8+ bill payment due 15th but till now, never cleared by Giro. hmm.

update: confirmed if SC card bill is below $10, will not trigger Giro by UOB. have to manually pay through fund transfer.

Your statement “it is their bankers who sold the plan”.

It is UOB’s bankers who sold you the plans. Not Prudential’s bankers.

I believe you had misread my message and assume I meant "their" as "Prudential".

Prudential is not a bank, of course they don't have bankers.

I'm saying exactly what you posted - UOB's bankers are selling those plans on behalf of Prudential.

so it is quite unethical that they are withdrawing the benefits after promising them to the customers. they did keep the bonus interest eligibility, but no more the $50/$100/$300 cashback.

The credit cards to be paired with this account for bonus interest are so limited. UOB Krisflyer card is incompatible :s22:

Cuz the uob kf card has their own uob kf saving account

Iirc it can be linked with:
Credit cards - one card, yolo, lady's plat, lady's solitaire, lady's

Debite card - UOB Debit Card and UOB Direct Visa Debit Card and Mighty FX Debit Card. lady's debit

Think he referring to uob kf credit card (not debit card)
Yeap :) I was referring to kf credit

Since I am sourcing around for a high interest saving account. I asked a Uob staff a similar question.

And the staff replied me, No.
Kf card will be paired with the uob kf saving account. (Correction: it's called deposit account)

But I think that pairing is on many people's wish list lolx
