New interest only applies from 1 Dec onwards.
meaning 1-30 Nov was under the previous interest rate, which was credited on 2 Dec.

It seem that the earmark amt end date is 14 apr 2023 as stated in tnc. Meaning lock 100k for 4.5mths. So to maximise the one acct interest to get 5% for the 5mth, u need to the 100k for 5mth until end april 2023.

Provided that everything stays the same for 5mth, same 5% eir and do 1.6k salary credit and 500 spend for 5mth.

30000x3.85% + 30000x3.90% + 15000x4.85% + 25000x7.80% + 680/5mth×12mth

= (5002.50+1632)/100000x100
= 66324.50/100000x100
= 6.63% only. Not 7%

Correct me if i am wrong tks.
depends when you start. if you start end dec, it is only 3.5 months, so using avg 4 months to calculate will be additional 2%, hence EIR of 7% for 4 months.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find the answer to my question in the T&C:

Do the incremental fresh funds have to be one shot (e.g. 100K one time transfer), or can I accumulate 100K then register the form to earmark them?
Just my opinion, if you would like to maximise interest of 5% eir for one account max 100k which is tier based interest, you should put in the 100k as early as possible. As the new interest rate starts from 1dec. If not, u gotten put in more than 100k so yr mthly ave balance is 100k to maximise interest . Otherwise u can always wait until u have 100k incremental fresh fund(measure against 31oct end balance) then u reg and earmark. be sure to check with uob first. I am also new to this.

interest is paid on your daily bal .
you can't just pump $3m in 31dec and expect them to pay you the full interest for the whole mth.

40.6 Bonus Interest is calculated at the end of each calendar month based on the monthly average balance and is credited at the beginning of following month. Monthly average balance is the summation of each day-end balance for each month divided by the number of calendar days for that month. We will determine the amount of monthly average balance which will earn Bonus Interest.

if you are late, eg 15 dec, can still put 200k so that monthly ave balance exactly 100k

if we put maximising the EIR 5% aside, just from the T&C of this xmas promo , it seems like it needs to be one shot after registration.

anyone second this ?
