But the asset here we are all talking is Cash haha. Anyway i got your point.

And purpose of people putting monies in a HYSA is to grow that cash to have interest/profits which is the ultimate goal. Just sharing thats all. :)

Which is why banks encourage people to follow the crowd and put in high yield saving accounts or normal saving accounts.

And they in turn use this monies to invest / trade and get more out of it, and pays the consumer low interest rates of 4 and below.

It comes with risk but if one knows how to manage it, the positive outweights the negative, which is why banks can do this year in year out. And the masses of people are like the sheep, providing monies to banks thousands and thousands of dollars for the banks to get richer.

So we all ought to learn and do it ourselves and make our monies grow. :)

That's why rich people put their money with fund managers who manage your funds knowing all the rules and loop holes. Rich people don't go on public forums and post about how to get $300 in monthly interest and how to 'game' the system by withdrawing and depositing money on certain dates of the month.

banks don't invest deposits in high-risk shares. Even during the height of pre-2008, investment banks did not dare to do that. It is one-way road to death for the banks.

I think yr standard of “Rich” vy high…..Top 1-2%?

https://smartwealth.sg/number-of-millionaires-singapore/
According to this article only 6.7% of the adults are millionaires.

I am quite sure many of us here belonged to millionaires category but still asking how to game the system for few hundred dollars :s13:

No leh For me, HY accounts basically a place to park cash while waiting for market opportunities.
I don’t think anyone believe they can “grow” their cash by doing that leh :s13:

May 2025 was the first month that the new T&Cs kick in ....

Computed bonus interest for the first $150k principal amount (average daily balance) :

From 1st May 2025,

28 days in the month = $373.97 (not yet verified)
29 days in the month = $387.32 (not yet verified)
30 days in the month = $400.68 (not yet verified)
31 days in the month = $414.04 (not yet verified)

Disclaimer : actual amounts may differ by a few cents due to rounding off, pls refer to bank for eventual amounts .....

I think the bonus interest should be in by mid-week .....

Don't understand what you asking, but this is what I see.

I mean did you pay your income tax instalment using uob account in april? Plus had money lock etc done even before they announced the promo as i understand it was announced quite close to the end of april so most people did not have time to set it up for april deduction

Not for those who already have been using UOB to pay their income taxes by giro before the promo. they get to enjoy the apr deduction with the additional criteria met.
