i used the vendor's apps, like M1, SP, IRAS. From their app can apply egiro, during application, you will be redirected to your bank app/webage to login and approve the application and after that you will be automatically redirected back to the vendor's app, and the vendor app will tell you application successful.

if want to cancel the giro arrangement, just go to your bank app, and from there just delete can liao.

egiro so much easier than paper giro
Is china mobile counted

Hi. Can I check for those who have experience with the "UOB Stack Your Cash Savings Promotion", can I confirm based on past trends, they run quarterly, 1 Jan - 31 Mar, 1 Apr - 30 Jun, 1 Jul - 31 Sep, 1 Oct - 31 Dec? Based on the T&C, the fresh fund is computed based on the monthly average balance of the preceding month the campaign started.

Monthly tax promo $50 for iras just got paid
alas this month cannot enjoy the tax rebate for SP and Singtel bills because the eGIRO didn't set up in time for deduction...

idk but the SP eGIRO arrangement still says "Pending setup" despite it saying the bank has approved. wonder why so slow. those who're also converting from credit card payment to eGIRO for SP... is yours set up yet, or stuck like me?

wonder if I am supposed to delete the existing credit card arrangement first or something...

Thinking to start to join "Stack Your Cash Savings Promotion" in May, so as to get extra interest to max the 150k in the account, 1.9% plus probably around 0.8% extra for 6 months so not too bad and no need to merry about to hunt to better rate.

Just need to register with the form and to transfer 150k fresh fund to the account by end May right?

I'm a little wary - just when the rates work out for now signing up, they drop the rates soon afterwards, and you are stuck for 7+ months with them.

I raised the same before in this thread, but now I think UOB already pretty low ball (with 1.9%) so probably not the one drop first. Its uncertain whether interest rate will go higher or lower in the US.

i believe you can unwind the money lock, you just forfeit the 7mth bonus int.
The one acct int is given everymth regardless.
so in that respect its no loss.
