got a call recently. saving instead of spending 500 . now we can save instead of spending.

wasn't interest and seem like need me to pay a visit to uob so I turned the cso down

Sent from Samsung SM-N950F using GAGT

Ask you to buy Prudential endownment plans. You decide if you want or not before going down. It's been like that since years ago when this UOB One account started, nothing new.

Oh, I was thinking that it could be like incremental savings instead of any kind of spending.

Mine was done many years ago, not relevant for me read what is latest available.

I would prefer to go down to the branch, get the forms and complete for the 3-4 giros (bill payment to be deducted from bank account), get the staff to verify signature on the spot, then leave happily. The rest is up to the bank to speed up processing, UOB has to send the forms to each billing organisation to process, then BO send back to UOB for final approval and update, then wait for BO to tell u when giro will start (if cc it will be stated in the bill). Just wait 4 to 6 weeks (I think).

If it is other bank's credit card, go to that bank, get the forms, fill in and get them to verify signature on the spot.

Some things if u want fast, cannot be lazy.

Thanks for the reply. Will consider it if the internet banking doesn’t work

Hi guys,

For those who giro your One CC to One account, how many days before the due date does the giro deduction take place?

UOB's CSO told me that funds must be in 3 working days before due date, is this true?

There will be an instruction issued on your bank account. You can see it online. Best is to put funds 5 days before

The due date is shown, usually i will check my UOB Mighty App to see it.

For mine usually 20th of the month is the due date and deduction will be on either 17/18 of the month, depending on which is the nearest working day. I just transfer the amount in by 16th, no problems so far half a year already.

do u mean paying One card by giro from One account?

for me, it is always the working day before the payment due date. I've been keeping track every month and it is consistent.

Thanks for sharing! According to the CSO, my upcoming bill's due date is similar to yours, funds will be deducted on 17th.

Yes. Seems like the giro deduction is a few working days for some people, and 1 working day before for others. Weird that it's different for different people.

On meeting the 3 Giro transaction per month, would “Adding Biller Organisation” via the UOB mobile App with deduction from One Account be the same as setting up Giro arrangement?

I notice the list of Biller Organisation (BO) in the Mobile App is a lot more comprehensive than this list seen via UOB internet Banking (which is less than 20 entities).

Not the same. No shortcut to this. Either use the giro list in uob ibanking or need submit physical forms.

New to uob one acct.

Understand spend cc $500 per mth + 3 giro will get higher interest.

For the 500 spent, is it based calender month or cc stmt cycle?
If it is based on stmt cycle, does it means we need to monitor separately for the cc requirement of quarterly rebate?

Interest based on spending in calendar month.
Quarterly rebate based on statement month.
Can call in to align statement month to calendar month.

I was confused on CC billing cycle earlier as mine was every 10th of the month. Requested CS to aligned cc to calendar month instead, easier to monitor now.

U may request from CS.

Guys I signed up UOB one account with the One credit card last November and till now I still did not receive any form of cash back.

Average spending 1K plus to 2K per month with maybe 400 to 500 of them Grab transactions.

The sign-up bonus of $180 also no have. TNC says need to spend 1K within 30 days but I already spent 1K in first week.

UOB One CC rebates are credited every quarterly/every 3 months. You will get the rebates (including the additional Grab rebates) on the last day of the month after the quarter. If your quarter is Jan to Mar, the rebates will be in on last day of April. Call up CSO to check your quarters.

Sign up bonus should have a payment date/period in the tnc. I would suggest looking at that to estimate when you will get it.
