Money lock can be earmarked? Like scary to leave 150k open like that sia.
->I believe short answer to your question is No, Money Lock can't be earmarked, they "double stack".

Earmarked money is basically locked.
I transferred fresh fund in this promo. Few days later, I use the money lock feature to lock 150k.
After I received the $700 bonus, I had $300K locked (I didn't have 300k in my balance) therefore all funds above 150K where also unavailable.
I had to unlock my 150K from Money Lock at the ATM in order to use my balance above 150K.
Since I participated this promotion and earn the bonus, my 150K is earmarked until March therefore unavailable to anything pretty much so as good as Money Locked I guess.

So you had 300k but only lock 150k?

Moi ok with earmark to be considered lock but the gap between fresh fund and time for uob to earmark is quite awhile. Like scary to leave it open like that.

No, I had slight more that 150K only.
I transfer in 150k fresh fund, then lock it (the 150k), then got promo bonus which earmarked an additional 150K (which I don't have) therefore anything above 150K was earmarked (aka unavailable to use).
In order to use my fund (above the 150K) I had to unlock it from the money lock feature then I will only have 150K lock (earmarked) and my fund above 150k become available.

Wait, you lock the 150k or amount above it?

So if moi have 1k and fresh fund 150k, can lock the 150k and wait for promo bonus?

I locked 150k.
Yes you can lock 150k then wait.
This is exactly what I did.

Now that the 150K is earmarked (locked), I have to meet the interest bonus criteria in order to earn any interest on this 150k otherwise, I'm basically forfeiting interest on 150k (~$480/mo) until end of earmark period.

I thought UOB clarified on their website that locking funds with the Money Lock feature doesn’t stop your money from earning interest?

I found this on UOB’s website:
"Set a Money Lock amount in your existing UOB accounts to prevent unauthorised withdrawals. Rest assured, your money continues to earn the same interest (up to 6% p.a. for UOB One Account). Simply use the UOB TMRW app or visit any UOB ATM in Singapore to lock any amount, anytime. You can unlock your funds at any UOB ATM in Singapore."

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but this seems to indicate that even if the $150k is locked, you’re still eligible for the same interest rate as long as the other bonus criteria (like card spend, GIRO transactions, etc.) are met.

Yes, you are.
What I mean is
Since I participated in Save up and Cash in Promotion and my fund are earmarked, I have to meet the interest bonus criteria (card spend, salary or GIRO) if I don't want my Earmarked / Locked 150K to be idle and not generated almost no interest at all until end of Earmark date.
I understand most of you in this thread are probably fulfilling the interest bonus criteria from long ago but it was not my case.

I missed my bonus interest for this month because card spending didn’t hit by $20. The person rejected my appeal. It’s my first time though. Anyone has successful case?
I was successful once last year and another time this year, but my transaction date was indeed in current month, just that posting date was late by 1-2 days.

Moi still don't understand, so if locked the fresh fund can it be earmarked?

Also, can both stash and uob one account participate in promo? Like each quarter alternate between both for fresh fund.

bro if you so worried about locked funds not able to be earmarked, and about having the funds unlocked for half a month, another bro already provided a very good solution to set the lowest possible transfer limit. I think that's the best for your case yea

As for this, I recall some bros here are doing that, but within the same quarterly promotion, only one account can participate

Within same promo but with 1 account. So cannot alternate? No point then.
