You are right, it applied to CPF as well for some Bank.
Yesterday, I want transfer Money to CPF. for DBS, it went through, but for SCB, even the amount is less than 50K, the money was held, and it prompt me the transaction risk (Scam), when I called the Customer service hot line, and state it is transfer to CPF, and definitely not scam. the CSO still explain to me the risk and request me to bear the risk if transfer immediately. :ROFLMAO:
Just in case you transfer to scammer's CPF account :ROFLMAO:

Just want to share my experience with UOB CSO today regarding a scam call.

Received a scam call by someone stating he's from Uob and my credit card has been used for some unauthorised transaction. Short story is that I hung up the call shortly and called uob to report the incident. The CSO after taking down the details then asked me if I wish to lock all my accounts and credit cards and be issued new ones. My reply was no as it didn't make any sense to go through all the administrative nightmare just because I received a scam call (albeit they got my name and nric). The CSO then proceeded to give a motherhood statement that since I decided not to lock my account, I may be liable for any financial losses that may subsequently happen (without any qualification on whose fault that may be).

This episode undermines my confidence in the bank that when a customer reported a scam, all they care was to shut down channels to protect themselves without regard to the customer's convenience.
You refuse to protect yourself.
Want to blame others if something goes wrong?

You want to change all your bank account details and credit cards just because you receive a scam call?

I would like to see you do it
I didn't say that you should or should not.
Just that it's your decision... and therefore your consequences to bear.
Why should anyone else be responsible for your actions?

refer this to MAS and I don't think banks have the right to do something like this...

What actions did I exactly do to get a scam call? All I did was to answer a call

Yes, transferred on the same day.
But there are hurdles to overcome.
1. Need patient to wait for the CSO to pick up your phone call.
2. Need to answer CSO's question to proceed the money transfer and take all the responsibilities if it went wrong. although it looks stu-pid to me.

Thanks. transfer to cpf via paynow, paynow must be with scb? currently with dbs. Ya damn troublesome to call them or wait for their callback
