Any idea if pay insurance installment is counted as Uob installment?

I believe installments meant if you buy things eg Courts and use UOB CC to pay monthly installments. Insurance premiums are recurring payments not installments.

They should have a more just system. This is a big deal for many people who have signed 0% instalment plans using their card. At the very least, they should state that any plans signed before so and so date will continue to be eligible for rebates until the plan ends. :s22:
I agree with this. I have been taking the option to do 0% installment plan as the option of such a card spend allows me to get the most rewards. For the rebates via 0% installment plan, I had so far paid admin charges to the merchant to pay by installment and travelled to an outlet further away just to make payment via 0% installment plan. I had recently even thought of opting for slightly lesser discount to buy a watch through 0% installment plan to reap more discount through the 5% rebates. Without any benefits, I would not even consider 0% installment plan. Given that most people would have been spending during the year end period, UOB has truly done a lot of damages with just a condition change.

Lesson learnt: All banks give out carrots. They are good while they lasts, don't be committed to a source of benefits for a long time. As consumers, we should exercise the freedom to move on to greener pastures.

otherwise we can accelerate the whole installment and pay at 1 go if the amount fits into your monthly spending

but not too sure if the accelerated amount counts towards the monthly spending
or if there is any admin charge for doing so

If you pay up all your remaining installment. U need to pay an admin fee of 100 or more

Really jialat. but i cannot find these in UOB one page?

With effect from 1 Feb 2017, 1) Monthly instalments under 0% Instalment Payment Plan, SmartPay will not qualify as card transactions and such spend will not go towards the minimum spend and will not be awarded cash rebate. 2) A minimum of 5 transactions per month must be made to earn cash rebate and will take effect on your new qualifying quarter. Please note that there will be changes to the UOB One Card terms & conditions. Details at uob.com.sg/one

Oh dear.. Indeed, sucks for those who have not heard (like myself, I did not receive any SMS and only got to know thru hwz) and went ahead to buy expensive presents thinking they could charge it to UOB ONE.

They are definitely going to be faced with aloooooot of people calling in to complain.

Hmm, how about gym/club memberships? Anyway I've contacted UOB to clarify, wait for their reply. Also asked them if the new exclusions still count towards the $500 min spend required to earn higher interest rates on the associated UOB One account. I think it should still count, but just wanna be sure.
await their response on this!
