Just called UOB CSO to check my previous condo fee payment via Cardup.
CSO told me the MCC for that transaction is 6513: REAL ESTATE AGENTS AND MANAGERS-RENTALS. MCC 6513 will be excluded in cash rebate from 16 March.

Rental is the only one with rental mcc. All other cardup/ipaymy transaction has mcc 7399.

The selling point of cardup is mainly to earn miles around a rate of 2c/mile like what citi/uob is offering. All those giving more than that will exclude cardup.

is mcc code standardized across banks?

I called hsbc, they said cardup transactions not accepted as eligible transactions (for their card rebates)… completely useless.

so far I have only tried paying prudential with cardup for UOB (mcc 7399, still accepted for card rebate). is there a list of things that are/are not eligible?

How about ipaymy? Anyone know if the mcc code for condo service and conservancy charge the same as CardUp? I am Planning to use CardUp or ipaymy initially. Thanks

This sucks. If Condo fee is MC6513, why didn't Cardup charge 1.9% commission.

Following UOB's updated Terms and Conditions governing their UOB ONE Card (effective from 16 March 2020 onwards), we confirm that your payments on CardUp scheduled with this card will continue qualifying for cashback according to your minimum monthly card spend.

no rental, just MCST quarterly payment. i specifically gave them the scheduled payment ID and asked if it will be MCC 6513 or MCC 7399
