there'll be people who'll need it and yes, your scenario is one of them. everyone's use cases are different so now it's not so straighforward as compared to 5% was more attractive previously.

btw, it's worth noting for miles collectors that the remaining UOB cards does not exclude CardUp for UNI$ earning (likely striked a tie-up thingy). iPayMy is excluded for everything.

what are you trying to infer? As mentioned, the other cards CardUp is not removed for UNI$

UOB One Card (earning cashback):
"W.e.f. 1 August 2022, payments to IPAYMY, RWS-LEVY, SMOOVE PAY, SINGPOST – SAM, Razer Pay and CardUp will be excluded from the awarding of cashback."

Other UOB Cards (earning UNI$):
"With effect from 1 August 2022, UNI$ will no longer be awarded for payments to IPAYMY, RWS-LEVY, SMOOVE PAY, SINGPOST – SAM, and Razer Pay and payments for utilities."

thanks ... am aware that utilities and Singtel still qualify. Have been using Cardup to patch up some of the spend requirement. Since Cardup/ipaymy will not be eligible from 1stAug, am considering moving the spend away from this card and ONE savings account too.

Yes, you are on the same cycle as me. June received rebate so current cycle is June to Aug so last chance to get 5%.
