Hello, apart from buying grocery vouchers, any other way to qualify spend for new credit card signup promo for $800 or $1k??
e-wallet like grabpay, lazada, shopeepay dont qualify right?? So any other option??
Can share which promotion u referring to for the $800 spend? I'm only aware of the 1k spending promo for first 2 mth. And it doesn't include spend on Sp and telco bill, FYI.

Can try qoo10 gift card if u do online shopping.

ah ok, thanks. So got to know some new options like telco bills, sp utilities, shopback, qoo10. Nice, will checkout the exclusions also.

A few cards actually had signup promo in Jan, not sure abt Feb. Hsbc revo, uob one, sc smart, posb everyday, citi. Some through singsaver, moneysmart and some credit card bank itself. Havent apply all la, but trying to understand for existing as well as future cc applications.

Have you considered the hassle of monitoring the spending for each card?

And when it's time to pay annual fees... what are you going to do? Cancel most if not all?

I personally no time to do that... so just stick with 2, at most 3 cards. Each with unique features I need and can meet. And so far no issue with annual fee waivers, all automatically approved.

yes yes, noted on that. Trying to get cards that I will actually use in my day to day spending, not just for the signup promo

No experience with annual fees and waivers yet, thanks for sharing.

I also intend to have 2, 3 cc only. But imagine if I get all 3 at the same time, need to do a $2k+ spend across 3 cards to qualify for signup promo, haha

Thanks guys, for those who objectively replied to my query. I didnot know about those cc spending options, was helpful and I have used a few towards my cc signup promo. Appreciate it! And more suggestions welcome!☺️

Hi all, is my understanding correct or not, to qualify for the credit card rebates, I should start spending from
  1. 2-Feb-23 to 1-Mar-23 - at least $500 (with minimum 5 transactions), and
  2. 2-Mar-23 to 1-Apr-23 - same as above,
  3. 2-Apr-23 to 1-May-23 - same as above?
I am not sure when to start and stop my spending, noting my following qualifying period for rebates + statement dates. Thanks in advance.
  1. In exact wordings (on my statement): "*Your qualifying period for quarterly rebates is (1) May to July (2) August to October (3) November to January and (4) February to April
  2. Statement Date: 2rd of each month.

Apr: 3-Mar-23 to 2-Apr-23 - same as above

If first quarter of owning the card, there is exception where if no spend in 3-Jan-23 to 2-Feb-23, and met for 2nd and 3rd month still get $33.3 quarterly rebate

Thanks trazora. I have this card for ages so the first quarter is not applicable to me. Your response helps a lot. Very much appreciated - I should not spend this month then, as I miss spending during - 3-Jan-23 to 2-Feb-23.

I was looking through the website.
I don’t really understand the table.

for new applicants who applied for card from Oct 22 til June 23, the enhanced Cashback is additional or the baseline? Doesn’t really make sense if the person that spends $2000 but he is getting lesser Cashback than the person who spent $500/$1000

OMG, my statement is exactly the same 2nd of the month

I just started to use this card this month because of UOB one account and had spent around $1000, thought my quarter start from 02Feb, if it's not, then I have missed the 03Jan to 02Feb one and my spend this month is wasted...

This card is too confusing. Better to apply UOB elov...

To me this is confusing due to the statement date starting on the 2nd every month because technically the statement should mean February, March and April for February to April, likewise for the rest of the quarter months as indicated. Personally I would check with the bank the quarterly months and then request to change the billing statement to the start of the month to eradicate this confusion on when each quarter starts and ends...

IMO the most straightforward is to get UOB to change your card statement to follow the calendar month (yes, they can do that). No ambiguity that way.

I actually made the request last year, but after a long discussion via the phone, they say can only change to 2nd, my previous one is 3rd...
