Prepaid account refer to ezlink, transitlink, matchmove etc. Yoga package should be counted.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to jump ship to UOB ONE from OCBC 360, and pair it together with DBS BYOB. Just got some queries on it as it seems their qualifying quarter is a little confusing:

For ease of reference, I will consider the quarter to be Oct - Dec (please correct me if I'm wrong):
1) Can billing cycle be customized based on personal preference? I prefer it to be 1st - 30th/31st of month, easier to track.
2) Linked to 1), so what happens if for example, I open my account tomorrow, 11 September? What would my qualifying quarter be defined as?
3) I have to spend $1K/Oct-Dec, in order to get Tier 2 rebate of $100 (3.33%) right? What happens if I spend 900/1K/1K, will I fall in Tier 1, $50?
4) Do the monthly transactions follow merchant posting date? EG: Basically, transactions on 31st Sept will most probably be recorded in Oct statement.

Thank you all in advance, I hope my questions are clear to understand!

Saw it in my balance. Not sure when it will offset. Is a pity i am just few dollars away from getting my 100$ instd of 50$ shld hv kept track of my expenditure.

Once it's posted to your statement, it will be used to offset your next bill

It usually comes in on the month after your qualifying quarter

If you get card approval in Sep your quarter should be Sep to Nov.

Can try state your preference of billing cycle when applying the card or call in to change billing cycle, subjected to approval.

Your billing cycle before you request to change can be some random day in the month. Need to call to enquire.

The quarterly rebate is prorated for the first quarter. For illustration assuming your statement date is 10th of the month and you received the card on 20th Sep, your 1st billing cycle (ending 10th Sep) is already over by the time you receive the card. And for 2nd billing cycle you are left with 20th sep to 10th Oct to clock posted transactions (based in posted date) to count to the tiered spending for rebate. You can choose to skip spending in this 2nd billing cycle and spending only in the 3rd billing cycle to aim for 1/3 of the quarterly rebate; or spend 500,500 or 1000,1000 or 2000,2000 in the 2nd and 3rd billing cycle to get 2/3 of the quarterly rebate. Spending 500,2000 is the same as 500,500 ie take the min tier attained.

Subsequently you have to meet the tiered spending in all 3 months. 900/1K/1K, will I fall in Tier 1, $50.

The above is for rebate on uob one card. For uob one account, the $500 card spend is based on posted transactions in calendar month. Other than uob one card, uob yolo and uob yolo and the debit cards are other cards to meet the $500.

Bill payment for starhub on starhub website charged to the card will qualify for the 3.33% cash rebate (based on spend of S$500/S$1,000 monthly for each qualifying quarter) or 5% cash rebate (based on spend of S$2,000 monthly for each qualifying quarter) and counts towards fulfilling the minimum spend.
However, it will not qualify for the promo 10% rebate for mobile payments.
