For new cards, first quarter can be prorated. After that must spend min $500 for all 3 mths or will get 0 rebate.

This is what I hate most about UOB One card. Have to be careful when there are refunds.

Anyone has such experience... got the card .. 1st month spend more than $500(<$1000), then next 2 months more than $1k ... will the rebates be $50 or chance to get prorated of $100.
Thanks.

By default $50 will be awarded. Can try speak to CSO to indicate your intent and see if they can make special arrangements

For the 1st quarter of new card holder, it will prorate the $100 (2/3 x $100).

Thanks for the reply :)

You should call the hotline to check which months falls in your quarter. Some of us when we receive the card, the first month is already over. So the $500 could be your second month instead of your first month.

UOB one qualifying quarter

A bit confused on the quarter calculations.

I plan to increase my spending from $500 to $2000. My statement ends on 2nd of each month. I just received $50 on Nov 2. So the next quarter will be Nov 3 - Dec 2, Dec 3 to Jan 2, and Jan 3 - Feb 2?

You could check your quarter in the "Rewards Summary" section of your cc statement.

According to the CSO, she mentioned any top up is excluded.

You may call a few times and get different answers each time. There is no one to tell them what is "yes" and "no", you ask them, then they will call up the TnCs, then read and tell you their own interpretation.

It says my next quarter is Nov - Jan. My previous statement ends on 2 Nov. So this Nov - Jan actually means Nov 2 - Feb 2 right?

No. Should be oct 3 to jan 2 (statement generated in nov,dec and jan). Too late to change tier le.

Haha, so is topup to grabpay excluded? TnC doesn’t explicitly excluded it but afraid there are some hidden ones like MCC code exclusions and I don’t know what MCC code grab topup is.

anyone familiar with how uob works?
is it as long as the transaction is posted b4 30 Nov, it should not be subjected to the new exclusions?
or new exclusions will apply to all transactions in the statement after 30 Nov?
