Does it also count towards monthly spending for uob one account?Hi, I’m new to One card, so is it confirmed that grab TopUp still qualifies for rebate and extra rebate? Thanks
Does it also count towards monthly spending for uob one account?
Just to confirm, for UOB one a/c does non-retail credit card spend qualify for the min requirement? I do not see any exceptions but just want to check.
I was comparing with BOC Smartsaver and for that the a/c min spend on cc is only for "Eligible spend".
There is a whole long list of exceptions
Hi, if I missed to transact on the first month of the quarter, do I have to wait for the quarter to end? Or I can start on the following month?
If you just got card (1st quarter) can start on following month. If not need to wait till next quarter
Those of you using Maybank Family card to top up Grab please note that there is a change of MCC code recently and it is no longer eligible for cash rebate and meeting $800 min sum.
My Grab topup posted upto 17 Dec has MCC code 4121 and eligible.
My grab topup on 22 Dec which is posted on 24 Dec has MCC 6540. CSO says it is not eligible for cash rebate and meeting $800 min sum.
From maybank fnf thread
Whats the mcc code posted in uob one cc thread? 7399? Master and visa are different?

How you all check the mcc charged? You called?
No didnt call. UOB now has chat function too. You can chat with customer service, for black and white.
I called and the MCC hasn't changed and Grab topups are valid spend. Just waiting for all the banks and Grab to contact Visa and demand that the MCC is changed to an exclusion category - like the Amex/Mastercard MCC changed.
Hi guys, will I qualify for the 10% rebate of UOB One Card Grab? Or is this too good to be true? For the year 2020, I will need to pay around $10k for my part-time degree and some other utility bill such as telecom and town council fees.
Here is the strategy
1. UOB One Card charge $2k monthly into GrabPay wallet in 5 transactions each of $400 in order to meet the criteria.
2. Using GrabPay Master Card which is linked to Grab Pay, top up MCO Visa Card with it as I have a physical MCO Visa Ruby Card which offers 2% cashback in crypto-currency.
3. Use MCO Visa Ruby Card to pay for degree and utility fees.
4. Repeat the process of $2k monthly topups.
If all these can be done, I think the rebate would be at around 12.2% in total. Which is quite a lot of savings.
Thanks
For now yes, till the next revision of the tnc
