Additional cashback will be capped at S$100 per month. so theoretically max 200 + 300 per quarterIs it!
there is a $300 cap?
maybe migrating to Citibank Smrt
https://www.uob.com.sg/assets/pdfs/one_card_full_tnc.pdf
cant seems to find the mention of $300 cap per quarter
Means $1,500 spending on shoppee or Cold Storage each month?Additional cashback will be capped at S$100 per month. so theoretically max 200 + 300 per quarter
You can find it in tnc of this page.
https://www.uob.com.sg/onecards/uob-one-credit-card.html
Yes for max additional bonus rebate it is capped at $1500 for the selected merchants, provided met the $2000 spending requirementMeans $1,500 spending on shoppee or Cold Storage each month?
Where did you see thisSeems like only effective July 1, 2022 for $2K spend category.
“Your UOB One Credit Card cashback for minimum S$2,000 spend will also be revised to up to 3.33% (S$200 quarterly cashback) with effect from the statement month of July 2022 (i.e. your spending in June). To find out more about your new benefits and changes….”
If I did not meet the $2000Yes for max additional bonus rebate it is capped at $1500 for the selected merchants, provided met the $2000 spending requirement
in the first place if you only spend $500, your max cashback is only (3.33% + 5%) x $500 which is definitely less than $100... even if your $500 is completely shopee or cold storage.If I did not meet the $2000
like say $500
it will be 5% For shopee but cap at $100 too?
month 1 : $500 + $100 shopeein the first place if you only spend $500, your max cashback is only (3.33% + 5%) x $500 which is definitely less than $100... even if your $500 is completely shopee or cold storage.
same for $1000.
Why not Smrt Citibank?This new change seems to push us to spend more on their partners (shopee, dairy farm, grab) and less on cardup/ipaymy.
assuming cardup/ipaymy fee is 1.85%... the cashback is effectively just 1.48%, which is $14.80 for every $1,000 transacted using cardup/ipaymy.
so.. it's kinda lower but not completely useless... especially if we're already going to pay our income tax.. insurance.. etc. anyway, which would earn zero cashback if not for cardup/ipaymy.
in short, just have to bite the bullet and accept the lower cashback each quarter from now on...![]()
Based on my understanding:month 1 : $500 + $100 shopee
month 2: $500 + $2,600 shopee
month 3: $500 + $5 shopee
so how much will be my rebate?
$16.50 + $5
$16.50 + $130
$16.50 + $0.25
citi smrt need min $500 spend. Different exclusion list, ipaymy/cardup excluded.Why not Smrt Citibank?
5% on online retail with no cap?
For my caseBased on my understanding:
- your $500 each month will earn you $50 at the end of 3 months
- $100 shopee --> 5% x $100 = $5 for month 1
- $2600 shopee --> 5% x $2600 = $100 for month 2 ($130 but capped at $100)
- $5 shopee --> 5% x $5 = $0.25 for month 3
so total cashback will be $50 + $5 + $100 + $0.25 = $155.25
my understanding is that the entire quarter determines your % cashback (whether is 5% - for $500/$1000 spend or 6.67% if you hit $2000 for all 3 months) - the same as how it used to work, by considering all 3 months to see which tier you belong to.
Yes, that is whyciti smrt need min $500 spend. Different exclusion list, ipaymy/cardup excluded.
just do it? especially since the min. spend is the same for citibank and uob.Yes, that is why
with such a drop
wonder should I move to Citibank smrt
Ipaymy does not count the $500just do it? especially since the min. spend is the same for citibank and uob.
does citibank recognise cardup/ipaymy as eligible spend? and.. is it considered online spending (for the 5%)? i'm not sure since I'm not their card user anymore. might be good to ask around... or start a new thread on citibank smrt.
Think retail spending should be included in $500 but no cashback for dining.Ipaymy does not count the $500
so the $500 must really be spending from groceries, online purchase, transport
and no dining
Not counted. Alr have a SMRT thread discussed many times.just do it? especially since the min. spend is the same for citibank and uob.
