Last quarter missing additional ** they manually credit me. Then this quarter again missing additional cashback. Damn sian. Can’t be every quarter I call and chase for missing cashback right…….

I also managed to get them to manually credit back a small amount $2.xx for my last quarter after calling in.

what I wasn't happy about is that they treated it as an appeal (which is only allowed once a year, according to what one CSO told me). it is their mistake, yet they see it as customer's fault and an appeal.

pretty disappointed with their way of settling but will just move on from this episode. next quarter for me ending this July so will see if got missing 5% rebate again or not (and most likely culprit will be the Shopee transactions).

If a particular month I actually hit more than 1k spending (and also for the previous 2 months) but because of cashback credited, the statement amount becomes less than 1k.. does this disqualify me for 100 cash back? Meaning I only get 50? Sorry if this is a very basic question.. trying to figure out why I didn't get 100.

cashback credited doesn't affect eligible spend. only refunds do.

so you're safe.

How much were you missing? If this happens quite often this is a big red flag.

the thing is, I don't even know which shopee transactions are considered 'supermarket' and which aren't.

Shopee Tx are with the description "SHOPEE SINGAPORE MP SINGAPORE"

Shopee Supermarket Tx are with the description "Shopee Singapore SINGAPORE"

$6.35. The probelm is somehow their system don't recogize shopee supermart tx as shopee tx, thus no additional cashback. That is probably because of the change of MCC from marketplaces to supermarkets.

i have a installment plan currently charged to the UOB one card.
i suspect could be due that that ...as they know i am 'stuck' with this card.
I kena before, could remember my annual spending but should not be less.
I called for waiver and given an option, to take up a bank service eg. Loan……

I told CsO I don’t need loan and either I pay for my card fees, took a loan service OR pay up the remaining installment with an early repayment fees which is Approx $30 lesser than my card fees.

Well you delay paying those monies in full take elsewhere earn more monies mah else who want to go for installment plan?
Even in the current environment I'm not sure I could make a positive turn on it with a cashback rate of 2.5-3.5% vs say 12m repayment (assumed to be 6m FD).

The cashback is usually awarded within 1m. Unless I need the liquidity, don't see the point of doing an instalment.

Ya. as long as not from refund it's ok, unless some of your transaction is not eligible, eg. Shopeepay Top up.

Previously I saw a post mentioned for refund reflected on the next month you just need to spend more to cover will do.
eg. June I spend $1000 and refund $300 that reflected in July, I need to spend $1000 + $300 to cover.
Not sure does it works as I tried before for period of time, I buy and refund till I lost track.

Don't bother with instalment plans since they are usually not granted any cashback rewards too
Now need to hit their minimum spending to get rewards, Some platform offer you some discount if you use PayNow.
When I got my UOB One card around 9 years ago, they do allow installment to clock as spending.
I got my BTO and bought my appliances with installment to get $300 rebates for spending $2000 installment quarterly.

Nice, the tnc for cashback were much better in the past! Fast forward to today, instalments, top ups, payment for government services and even medical services do not count 😅 and it makes MCC tracking a thing.

Who even talks about MCC a decade ago haha!

Absolutely poor service. They rejected my card annual fee waiver, maybe cos now they have many new customers from Swifties. I use the chat service & after my queue was reached, it terminated me from the chat? after waiting for 20mins.
SO I do a call but was in the wait forever after 30mins....WTF !!!!
Is there another way to request for card cancellation?

Hi I am same as you my UOB One card annual waiver rejected, would like to know the procedure to go about canceling the card. I call the hotline (1800 222 2121 or (+65) 6222 2121) but cannot get through to a live person aka CSO so how to submit the cancel card request? From UOB TMRW I don't see this option.

Anyone cancel UOB card before can share the procedure?
