Received the revised minimum spend requirement for UOB One card today. Min must hit $500 to get rebates. starting 1st Oct.

Confirm cannot hit $500 every mth... gg throw this card soon

Whats the next best credit card option?

Maybank Platinum Visa. But I am not sure how long that will continue because banks are making it more and more difficult to get rebates these days.

Make sure you check your quarter cycle & that the new spend criteria is applicable from 1 Oct for your case

One telco stop giving 12GB data bundle, the rest will follow. One start charging for 4G, all will follow. UOB One up the monthly minimum to $500, a matter of time before Maybank follows.

If you don't mind the hassle, apply for the Maybank card now and enjoy first and when it goes up to $500 then cancel lor.

I used to be using ANZ Travel card but mothballed it when I applied for UOB One. Now that its gone up to $500, I will be starting to use my Travel card again once my spending quarter is over in September.

A lot of ppl are saying ANZ Travel card is useless after they revised the number of points required to redeem cash rebates. While its true that you need more points now to redeem, it works out to 1.5% rate which is still not bad considering most cards give only 0.5 or 1%.

My card says good thru April 2020 and if I'm not wrong I got the card in April and started charging since then.

Assuming that's the case, my first cycle presumably is Apr, May & June and the rebate is posted in July. So my next cycle should be July, Aug & Sep with the rebate posted in Oct right?
