Foreign currency spend UNI$

Has anyone had trouble getting the 10x UNI$ for foreign currency spend?

For Oct and Nov statement, I did not get 10x UNI$ despite spending SGD1997 equivalent in JPY (Oct) and SGD1414 equivalent in JPY and GBP (Nov). The total UNI$ for each month was only 1014 and 1092 respectively (I had miscellaneous spend on other UOB cards like PPV, Preferred Amex).

The CSO said she will have to check it out and get back to me. Did I miss something in the T&Cs about using this card?

Frankly I am rather fed up of keeping track of the UNI$. And on the alert for UNI$ being deducted for annual fees every now and then. Worse still, there is no e-statement like DBS or Amex cards to check up on and I have to keep physical statements. :(

True, but in order to make sure we're not short changed, we should track manually. I use a spreadsheet to keep track of the transactions and points. Currently I have more UNI$ than what I calculated, waiting for the next paper statement to see if earned any extra bonuses that could be not part of my calculation.

Did you clock the whole spend in 1 statement period? You must spend min $1k SGD equivalent in Foreign Currency in 1 statement period ( not calendar month ) to qualify for 10x. Also, was it displayed in JPY / GBP in your statement ? If teh DCCed you in SGD ( ie charged you in SGD ), it will be 1x only.

One statement period.

Displayed in JPY and GBP in statement. The CSO couldn't explain it either. He said they would get back to me in a few days.

I received my card yesterday after 7 working days. Activate it and redeem $50 cash rebate, now wait for the money to be credited.

Guys, just to update i already received the $50 cash rebate in my Visa Signature account on 07 Nov after redeeming it in mid-sep so it actually take slightly less than 2 months to get the rebate. I started spending on it in Oct so i cannot confirm whether the rebate is given after meeting the spend requirement.

Any guy redeem the cash rebate without spending can update us on latest status?

1. You will only get your 9x UNI$ on the next month so forget about your Nov spend, you are not supposed to get anything yet thus there is nothing wrong.
2. Going back to your Oct spend, you should received your 9x UNI$ in your Nov statement, i just checked mine and i got it. I spend around SGD1920 in USD and RMB and got the 9x UNI$ in my Nov statement.
3. I made another $2k spend in JPY in nov, will update next month to see whether i get the correct UNI$.
4. I scanned all my statements and keep it for easy reference since UOB does not provide e-statements, i do the same for ANZ too.

Means next mon bill can reflect? Not any particular day of next month like dbs wmc.

There is no adjustment or bonus UNI$ whatsoever in Nov statement for Oct spending. They haven't got back to me yet. Oct spending was one lump sun in JPY equivalent to $1997 SGD.

The bonus UNI$ is not reflected on a separate line like what is done for the Preferred Platinum Amex. It is lumped together into the 'UNI$ Earned this month' box. You need to break down that number based in your statement.

BTW, I got the bonus for my USD and KRW spend for Oct.

There is no bonus and adjustment UNI$, its just lumped as UNI$ earned.

Hack, even my $10k bonus UNI$ for the Priv card also get lump into UNI$ earned.

You got to do your sums but seeing how little your nov UNI$ is after spending so much in oct, there really might be some issues with your account.

OK to update. The CSO called back and said that I did not get the UNI$ because the payment gateway is based in Singapore. But they will credit the bonus UNI$ manually. That was for my JPY transactions. They "forgot" about my GBP transactions. So they will get back to me again. Do you think I am so unlucky as to have both payment gateways "based in Singapore"?

can the UNI$ earned on UOB Visa Signature be used to claim miles, which is around 4 miles/$, right?

Also, can the UNI$ be redeemed together with UNI$ from other UOB cards like UOB PRIVI?

Yes. Subject to Terms and Conditions as discussed above. Make sure your overseas merchant doesn't apply DCC on you.

All UNI$ earned by UOB cc go into one common pool and can be redeemed together.

Thanks. Saw the GBP posted already. So no issue.

Going to apply for UOB Privi now. =)
