Send your appeal to card.centre@uobgroup.com

Include a screenshot of the Grab top-up transaction in Grab app which indicates the date and time (my top-up transaction was 24 Aug, 7.44 AM and ended as 23 Aug transaction which was a Friday)

I did that and about a week later, I received a call from them that they will award me the missing cash rebates which I received it in the following month statement (i.e. this month).
I received the call where UOB confirmed that the missing rebates will be credited back to me. I didn't receive the rebates in my next statement though...

Did they revert?

Made a mistake and topped up grab on a Friday instead of Sat. Wanna cry liao. Called in to appeal and the CSO checked and reverted that my transaction was done at 3pm Friday and not a case if midnight transaction date change.

Sigh, anyone manage to appeal for weekend cashback in such a scenario? I know it’s a long shot here :X

was wondering 8% cashback on weekend dining
3% cashback on weekday dining.
usually posting date is few days later after transaction date

what if the merchant post the transaction late and it falls into a weekday?
wont we always be getting their 3% then

Weekend or not depends when you make the transaction not when transaction posted

They base on transaction date and not post date.

SG time. but take note some of the users reported spending during early morning hours of Sat (after 12am SG time) and clocked as Friday spend. if happens, call UOB and try appeal.

It should be based on local time of the city where the transaction was effected. Those that were being highlighted were Grab transactions which had their transaction dates indicated as the day before.

Maybe should open a new thread for EVOL, since the dynamics are quite different. In fact, EVOL is kind of UOB's version of DBS Live Fresh / OCBC Frank.

So evol or live fresh better?
It's a no brainer if you're spending between $600 to $800 on evol. Max cashback $20 rebate for contactless and online respectively on $250 spending each. Total $40 cashback. The additional online/contactless spending above $500 to hit min spending of $600 won't earn rebates but the effective rates becomes 6.66% for $600 spend or 5% for $800 spend. The closer u spend towards $800, it matches the live fresh 5%.

Frankly (pun intended) speaking, I wouldn't go above $600 spend once I've hit the spending requirement to max out at 6.66%

Do note the similar typical UOB exclusions applies if you're planning to spend on 'other' categories to earn 0.3% and counting of eligibility to quantify the spending requirement.

Will take a pass on this since I easily hit 800-1k worth of online and contactless transaction per month. It’s effectively giving me the same cash back anyway
