try it on my dad 5c
on this new whatsppls new UI or put it simply whatppls with IOS7 refresh

it feel good no lag at all
since ip5 is similar specs as 5c it should be fine for ip5 upgrades

as compare to 4s and below

and the swipe left to return is good as whatsppls make ful of use off ios7 dynamic font too

increase contrast removes e blur effect on overlays in iOS 7. that's probably why it helps.

What u mean by screen transition ?

Back ground app refresh should be tt app will once a whie check and refresh to see if there's any new messages.. More timely for user to get messages, but guess may compromise a bit of battery life

There's no timer involved.
Background App refresh is like a trip to Genting on bus. During the ride there'll be stops for the passengers to head to the washroom for a break instead of having the passengers having to go to the washroom one by one.

It works the same on the iPhone. With Background App Refresh when you're using your iPhone and say using an App like Safari that requires Internet Connection, ios automatically tells these apps which you frequently use that it's time for the "bathroom break"

In fact. It helps saves battery.

On the other hand, what about users that still haven't update their WhatsApp app version to the latest one (that has Background App Refresh capabilities built in)? I think they are still being notified of incoming WhatsApp messages even though their WhatsApp is running in the background without that Background App Refresh feature right?

I think someone posted in a prior post that having Background App Refresh enabled for the latest version of WhatsApp simply means when the user launches WhatsApp, there wouldn't be a delay, i.e. the "Connecting..." status when the user gets notified of an incoming WhatsApp mesaage & him launching the app itself to see the message. However, I'd Background App Refresh activated, for for my case, the "Connecting" delay still occurs when I launch WhatsApp to view a message that I was notified of.
