Yup. My wife was still on 5.1.1 & it crashed. After I updated her phone to iOS 7 it's OK now.

If you sync your apps with itunes, just reinstall older version of whatsapp.

Not everybody likes iOS 7, esp those on older phones

Whatsapp seems to be smart
Once u moved your data to another phone, can't use the other version on the old phone, not even on wifi

2 days ago I still able to backup my Whatsapp chat history to iCloud but today it got stuck (see pic below) i try on Wifi, 3G and LTE doesn't help. Quite the app, reboot device also doesn't help

Any advice how to resolve this
