Post #4 in this thread, if you are on Win 10 Pro.

Searching the Windows 10 Forums founding the following: http://www.tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/5303-refuse-driver-updates-windows-10-a.html

Right click Start >>> Control Panel >>> System >>> System protection >>> Hardware >>> Device Installation Settings:

Check No, let me choose what to do

Check Never install driver software from Windows Update

Uncheck Automatically get the device app and info provided by the device manufacturer.

So by Defer Upgrades will get only security updates and nothing else?

Security updates will always be installed. Other updates will be deferred by 6 to 8 months for Pro and 1 month for Home.

Security updates cannot be deferred. I'm not sure whether this update is classified as security or normal, bit of both.

You can only defer updates on Win 10 Pro.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro. Maybe its security update. All it state is cumulative update though.

Win 10 is like Win 7 in terms of resource requirements. I have no idea whether your netbook can run Win 7 or 10.

The update files will not install on Enterprise class machine, and so is the chance of getting Windows 10 for free.

Hey you using Windows 10 now? Do you have issues with Windows Media Player? Like everytime after minutes of playing videos in fullscreen, then exit fullscreen, the playback bars, menu bars etc will like not responding or crashed or not even showing, just a white plain box lol

Mine is fine, no issue. You may want to try Media Player Classic from K-Lite codec.

For windows 10 Pro, am I right to say security updates will still get downloaded automatically even if I go into Group Policy Editor > Configure Configure Automatic Updates > selecting "Notify for download and notify for install"?

How about Microsoft Office? Windows update still download updates like Microsoft Lynx/Access etc. despite I chose to install only MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint on my system from the office package.
