i register my fingerprint at the manual counter on Mar 2023 but did not use the egate to come out.
Just now tried the MDCA website, it show [You are not eligible to use the e-gate facility. Please proceed to the manual counter.] so does it mean i have to re-register again at the manual counter again?
same for me. i registered in Jul. today i registered, then checked the status, also showing the same message. shall try my luck with egate before going to manual counter.

if i am not wrong, coz its was pretty long ago... i remember i applied at the office at the malaysia customs it was 30-35rm... for 1 year.
Oh, that's way before I applied, coz by then they've stopped allowing us to do in JB customs office but instead I went to their agent(?) in Tanglin Road SG. Ya, so people like me had to pay extra... :s13:

Thought I read in the FB page that someone (managed) to get the registration done outside of the stipulated timeslots. Not sure of the details as I was reading while out and about. :look:

good luck. that time i try 4 gates all show passport verification error
finale1 mentioned can try the egate where you have to vertically slot (portrait) in the passport NOT HORIZONTAL (landscape). these are the new egates, lesser errors. is at the extreme right of the hall.

About 20 pax Infront of me and waited about 1.5hrs before my turn.

Sharing my recent exp. on registering MDAC autogate.

Location: JB CIQ
Day/Time: Thursday / 9+am

We first queued at the usual passport counter, then the immigration officer told us to go to the "Autogate registration" counter located at far left (near the autogates) in order to register for autogate.

This special counter (Only open on Mon-Thurs) will do the registration for 1st timer (will capture fingerprint here).

Immediately after registration, we use the autogate to enter. No issue at autogate when we leave CIQ at night.

PS: Always register online (within 3days of entry to Malaysia) before you register for the autogate Or using the autogate for non-first timers. Website as below. No charge.

what time did u scan your fingerprints?
Have you managed to get your registration done already?

I went with a friend to do his registration yesterday, reached there about 2pm and the whole hall was pretty clear. Feedback was that the officer was very nice and patient, and he could use the eGate immediately. Returned via BSI with no issue as well, very smooth and he's happy.

You might want to consider taking half day's leave, like the morning off, reaching just before 2ish. I'd avoid Mondays though, since it can get crazy with the KSL pasar malam.

I was over at the manual registration counter yesterday morning, and there was a queue forming with Singaporeans trying to register for egate. Think it took me about 20 to 30min to get to my turn. Unfortunately, my fingerprint can't be registered in their system. The staff just told me i have fingerprint error and will need to use manual counters going forward. Both registration counters also have the same problem... Saw at least 2 older folks in front of me who were unsuccessful in their registration as well.

I figured just apply morning off and head there from work. About 1.30 to maybe 2.30 or 3pm should be good... Except Monday :crazy:

We reached there yesterday (Wednesday) just before 2pm.

Hi there, I am planning to take a flight from Senai Airport to save cost. Firstly, I need to go to JB first. If I go to JB, can I still use the MDAC registration, because I am having a multi leg trip and may end up back in Singapore instead of JB and back to Singapore again.

Here is what my itinerary will be like:
  1. Bus 970 ->
  2. JB Custom ->
  3. Bus to Senai Airport ->
  4. Kuala Lumpur via flight ->
  5. Penang via flight->
  6. Singapore

I want to use MDAC to avoid the queue, at the same time I am not sure if it is a good idea to have it not stamped because I go back to Singapore on my last leg.

Have you registered for MACSv02?
MDAC means nothing if MACSv02 has not been approved.

If you have already registered successfully for MACSv02, then I think there's no problem...but ask the Immigration Officer.
