hey folks, havent been around as much

Any latest updates that I need to update the OP with?

From what I know apparently they changed the regestration system so that if you are going in for the 1st time, you need to go to the specialized MACS counter Monday to Thursday 8am-7pm to enroll
... also confusion with terms eg enroll, register, submit, approve

If you register for E-Gate & Enter with stamp, then better to Exit with stamp...but up to individual.

However I understand the latest procedure is Entry is via E-Gate, once/immediately MACSv02 is successfully registered/approved at the counter...so for this case Exit via E-Gate too.

The latest registration is being done at the counter/s between the 2 red MACS2.0 banners. Once successful can head for the eGates for entry procedure.

AFAIK, no special counters at 2nd Link. No family, no elderly, no MACS2.0 registration, nada.

See the pic shared above. Stated BSI below. Woodlands. And only designated counters.

2nd Link has 3 eGates for us to use, though. They're at the right-most end of the front building, and worked pretty fast for me so far.

For registration at BSI, you can try about 1 to 2pm on a normal weekday, should be quite clear and thus, pretty fast.

Update from tuas, when entering jb error: verification failed. Went to the counter, the person rescanned my finger print.

When exiting jb, same error, verification failed.

I'd advise to just go to the designated counter/s in Woodland BSI to register. If there's any fingerprint issue, they'll be able to advise on the spot.

When the Officer rescanned your fingers, I don't think it was to register for MACSv02 unless he said so. He may just be following the normal procedure taking finger prints & stamping passport.

Try at BSI registration counter where I understand the vendors are there to help too.

Question, for those previously registered thumbprint for MDAC (before MACSv2) and has no problems now with the gate, do they still need to go the specialized counter at BIS to enroll for MACSv2?

Prior to MACS2.0 is MACS1.0.

MDAC is the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card that has to be filed in order to use the eGates under the present MACS2.0.

Those who have previously registered for MACS2.0 after filing MDAC and successfully used the eGates, need not register again. However, if that person fails to use the eGates after many tries, then approach the designated counter/s for help in checking /reregistration.

Sharing my last month experience. I got error after registered MDCA website, [You are not eligible to use the e-gate facility. Please proceed to the manual counter.] although i already register at manual counter before. I tried to go through egate but failed so i went to manual counter again and no problem to access egate. However, my friend who was ex-Malaysian was told forever cannot use egate at the manual counter. Is it true? Any ex-Malaysian able to use egate here?
