Come, come, come share here...

Did any of you experience issues with MY's Immigration/E-Gate if you Exit/Depart MY earlier or later than the dates declared in MDAC?

Thanks

Ex malaysian cannot use egate. The MDACs counter officer basically said so. Said on some wanted list. As you're no longer malaysian your privileges have been revoked. Did not even ask to scan fingerprints.
I am ex Malaysian, gave up my Malaysia citizenship just less than 3 years ago. I already successfully registered for egate at KLIA since May 2023 and I have used it more than 10 times, without any hiccups and problems, as what described in this forum. So why not try to register at KLIA ?

Same today registered successfully at JB via Woodland. Imediately, the custom officer directed me to use Auto-gate directly. Super fast clearance via the auto-gate, didnt alert me to scan both index fingers also, Return back also super fast, system seem even faster than sg auto-gate clearance too.

Heard a female custom officer said ex-Malaysians are not able to register. Not sure why, also a few ppl unable to register, likely is index fingers' issues. Heard already tried a few times already.

There was a lady queued an hour but cannot register. So she went to the manual counter. After clearance, she didn't leave but went back to try register again, making a small scene. Officer kept telling her to try on next trip, really crazy.

maybe she took leave just for enrollment. quite frustrating for some. some have problems registering finger prints (myself too, did many of retries). some successfully enrolled but still can't use e-gate.

What scene is there to make? Especially if it's fingerprint problem? Don't we always see people having fingerprint problem at our own auto gates? If cannot detect still have to get manual clearance here, no? :s11:

SG's Immigration use "full" biometrics ie if fingers don't work then irises will be scanned + facial...I think our irises are scanned first.

Previously my partner could not get thru SG's Immigration when only fingers were used. But now with irises she has no more issues.

Best scanners are the phone's... my partner always had issues with SG's/China's Immigration fingers scanning machines but no issues with her OPPO phones 😂

I dont know, maybe she queued too long? I was also worried that I couldn't make it too but in the end all ok.

What time were you there on Monday?
I was there around 11:45 am . . queued till about 12:45 pm then my turn for the index fingers registration.
Whilst queueing, saw a few ppl kana rejected and went over to the manual counters.

I've tried registering a few times, and my registration always fails with the reason being "Permanent Resident (PR) is temporarily not eligible to use gate."

But I'm a pure bred Sgrean. Cannot be becuz I go into msia too many time right lol... Then they think I PR
