Today I stamped entry, exit egate. No issue.
Thank you2 train of thought here. the kiasi kialan ones will tell you best to match the entry and exit stamp.
for me, i will tell you per my personal experience the stamps dont matter. u wannt switch it up, auto, manual, its up to you. just tell them egate not working when they ask, and show them the mdac registration email when they ask.
edit: and btw, ytd night alot of ppl egate failed when returning to sg and need go manual. cant remember, but 2 or 3 failed attempts is straight directed to manual.
if 1st time they ask you to proceed to manual, go to the right side egate and try again. if still cannot, u suay and need manual anyway.
the machines on the right are newer.
I will try my luck when registration is successful tomorrowSome Officers say can Exit via E-Gate but not always successful.
In my case I prefer to have both Entry & Exit stamps, & try to E-Gate the next Entry.
i tried to ask the officer to check on friday night.. the officer said system is still upgrading... he said not sure till when.. failed for me on friday nightHow?
Wah i wonder when will the system be up and running so that I can register my fingerprint...Went in on Mon, system still not working.
Not true...MY where got so silly oneIs it true that ex-malaysian cannot register for the egates? It sounds kinda silly
Its true unless recently changedIs it true that ex-malaysian cannot register for the egates? It sounds kinda silly
If they don't do silly things. How do we get the favourable exchange rates. Is it true that ex-malaysian cannot register for the egates? It sounds kinda silly
Not true as there're ex-Malaysians who've managed to register and use the eGates. Is it true that ex-malaysian cannot register for the egates? It sounds kinda silly
According to members of customs fb/telegram groups, there are many ex msians who cannot. Not true as there're ex-Malaysians who've managed to register and use the eGates.
They may have their reasons who can and who can't, but I'd feel only those in the relevant office/s know the exact reason/s behind each applicant's rejection.
Those immigration officers behind the manual counters have their own job scope, and the eGate usage has next to nothing to do with them once they've done their part for the registration.
Just imagine how many SGeans are rejected by the eGates each day, then head to the manual counters to ask these officers for the reasons. After a while, unless their system has the reason (which I doubt), they can only guess from whatever information available to them.
Unless you can find your way into one of those offices, I'd say try if you can or wait if you can't. No one here can give you an official answer.
