Started 730pm from oriental kopi city sq
745pm clear Msia custom egate
755pm cleared sg custom and on bus back to woodlands bus inter
Super clear right now
There was a bit of a backlog due to bus bunching at around 12 pm on the way in. But when they came in one after the other for about 8 buses in a row, the backlog cleared.
The 950 queue at Woodlands interchange was long dragon at 1030 am that it seemed faster to take 911 to the train checkpoint bus stop and slowly trudge to the departure gates at SG side.

Manual counter queues were probably about 30-40 mins at about 1130 am, but e-gates on the way in were brisk. Very glad and thankful to MY immigration for finally commencing this earlier this year.

I departed MY about 15-30 min before you, and yup smooth-sailing!

e-gates have always required MDAC from the start. The MDAC is in lieu of ink stamps, otherwise, there's no evidence of having passed through immigration.
Agree to the first half but even when going in by car without submitting MDAC my Entry & Exit are captured in "Check Visit Pass".

Agree with the first part, but not so sure about the other. MDAC in lieu of immigration stamps, but I believe it's having gone through the eGates that triggers the record of having entered and exited. Some people filed MDAC but decide not to travel, such a submission won't be recorded.

Maybe it's the official MY policy of tending to copy whatever the SG authorities decide to do? But that also doesn't really gel because there's permanent exemption for SG citizens already.
Hopefully can do away with the MDAC for all SGreans regardless of entry/exit modes.

Only advantage not submitting MDAC for E-Gate users is when MDAC is down then we can't go in.... with the expected crowd from visa-free MDAC's maintenance is prioritized - hopefully 😂

Some Malaysian immigration officers will advise you not to use the eGate if you already know that you'd be flying back or crossing to another country.

This is to prevent any possible complication and delay due to the "missing" immigration stamp.

And I agree with them, coz I won't want my trip to be delayed due to the risk of being questioned. If busy at counter, they might even invite you to their office and that's worse.

We need to fill in the address in Malaysia, if we don't have accommodation just one day visit. What to fill in for the address?

Previously, I have submitted MDAC and registered for egate. I use egate for about 10 times. But today I check egate eligibility status, it mention this "You are not eligible to use the e-gate facility. Please proceed to the manual counter.".

Does this means want to use egate need to registration again? Anyone know?

Their implementation is like agile, increment updates...

As long as you have submitted MDAC just continue using the E-Gate - see any rejections. Try a few times before approaching manual counter. Try the right bank of E-Gates too.

If you've already used the eGates for a few times, why go check your eligibility? :s11:

Unless you've changed your passport, or did anything that you suspect might affect your eligibility, just head for the eGate as usual. If fail to gain entry, then do as suggested above.

Yes, KTM JB>SG has eGates too.

Go into the hall on your right after you get off the escalators and down the corridor. There are 2 or 3 eGates there. Not sure about the other hall.
egates usage 1st time registration still possible if clear ktm MY customs on mon-thurs?
