Today accompanied a lady friend to re-register for MACSv02 - previously unsuccessful due to forefinger prints issues.

Today similar issues but she asked whether can try another finger & the nice Officer acquiesced; & so she tried her thumbs.

She managed to register with her thumbs!! 👍

So to register Macs2, just look for the dedicated Macs counters. Just passport, no other document needed? Need to show proof that you applied MDAC ?

Thanks to all the great tips on using the e-gate, it has helped tremendously!
A few days back, I took First coach to KL and registered accordingly. At the 2nd link, the bus dropped me at a building parallel to the ones the CWx buses were using.
These *did not* have any e-gates but the officer kindly directed me to another building across a road where the e-gates were. Remember, use the ones on the extreme right!
Then on the way back, I noted the same and went over - and the building was locked! All the counters *down* - wah lau eh.
So kwai kwai cross back the road, go back to manual counter and explained that I had no incoming chop on my passport because I used e-gate on entry. The officer put an exit chop and *signed* on it saying I had entered via e-gate and hence no entry chop. Officer also said the building was temporarily closed.
Dunno what will happen next trip😰

Which day and what time was it that the front building was closed. This building's normally the one open 24/7.

Monday 25/3 about 1650 hours. I also saw a whole bunch of Causeway Link buses all parked. But no time for small talk with the officer as my coach was waiting.

I think the key takeaway is what to do if somehow you cannot exit MY due to problems with the e-gate.
Join the manual queue, explain you came through e-gate, get a chop and make sure the officer signs off on the chop - that you used e-gate for entry.

For registration, remember to get ready to show your MDAC registration email on your phone/hardcopy at the dedicated registration single queue with 2 counters. It is on the right side of the Malaysian-only e-gates. Scan your index fingers, no photo taking and can use immediately at the egates on the right side of the registration counter. The JB custom egate registration is only Mon-Thu between 8am to 7pm.

SG using MY's E-Gate must submit MDAC.
I’m confused, due to this CNA site: if I’m not doing eGate registration, as a SG citizen I actually do not need to prepare MDAC? But if I’m doing eGate registration I need to?!

then after I successfully register for eGate, do I still need to prepare MDAC before I use the eGate each time?

Actually which are the eGates that SG citizen supposed to use? The ones on the extreme right where all the Malaysians use, or the few right next to the eGate registration manned counters?

Must submit MDAC for both, registration for E-Gate & using E-Gate.

No restrictions, all E-Gates can use.
