Hi,I'm going in Nov. Yet to book hostels and tours. :/
What is nice in Mekong Delta?hi, greetings from HCMC! Wow these few days rain comes and goes..... Just went to Mekong Delta today.... Nice one!
As for shopping, nothing much explored. Been to Ben Thanh mkt... Oh ya, VIncom is it quite near the Opera Theatre deh? Wow these 2 days done alot of walking, in Singapore hardly walk so muchis a good exercise! Today walked from D1 to D5, intend to find An Dong Plaza but can't find.... walked whole stretch of Nyugen Trai St.... but not bad, alot of things to see anyway.
Do u mean wallets, bags etc? Chinatown much cheaper in some stuffs coz its like a wholesale mkt. Bought LV wallet less than sgd10. But ben thanh got more choices
Cholon is basically juz like a 2 storey place selling bags, shoes, clothing, n many other stuffs, outside are local wet mkts etc, i dun thk got bird nest stuffs..? Maybe im wrong but nv c.
hope they allow us to buy 1 piece since its a wholesale.
Do they include meals in their 1 day tour?
Their website did not indicate.
sidetrack, i guess i wont know how to walk there. If take taxi in district 1 to sinhtourist...roughly how much?
In hcmc, chinatown also sell to tourists / individuals. But in hanoi, the wholesale mkt ( cho dong xuan ) dun sell in small quantities even thou the shop signboards indicate otherwise..look at my hanoi topic in hwz if u wan 2 noe more.

for e mekong delta 1 day tour, lunch is included..
taxi costs me less than 2sgd from asian ruby 2 hotel(district 1) to sinh cafe..
Ben Thanh actually also nothing much.
I went Saigon recently but not for the sake of shopping.
I did not change to a single USD as most of the stuff I asked to convert to Dong from USD. The rate was like 19 000. If you prefer to make payment by USD for certain stuff, then change some of it.
today 1SGD = 13600 VND
i am just afraid that some shops dun accept VND.
I change VND there, the rate given was 14000.
All should and will make the conversion themselves from USD to VND. Just that you need to convert yourself also. If you are afraid, then change some for yourself.
Thanks bro.
If chinatown really nothing much then i will skip and go to Ben Thanh mkt once and for all.![]()
thanks bro!!
now i am thinking how much $ to change in USD and VND for a 4D3N HCMC trip. Should change more USD than VND?![]()
today 1SGD = 13600 VND
i am just afraid that some shops dun accept VND.
Can xplore also lor, sme stuffs much cheaper. Ben thanh can "chop" on rates, like i said 100k wallet at chinatown, come to ben thanh becm 450k b4 bargain.
no prob..
i tink u change all to VND better.. i realised if pay by USD a bit bo hua.. cuz somethings i pay less than 1 SGD if it's in VND but if in USD standard is 1 USD..
i only use USD for my taxi from airport to hotel, for my accomodation and tailor..
