Hi, you can try Hoang Hai Long hotel massage which is quite good. But be prepared when you give tips, they may ask for more but you must be tough on them. It applies for most massage places in HCMC. So far I have never experienced people asking for more tips in China, Thailand and Indonesia.

I just came back from a 4 days HCMC. Frankly, it was boring. The BT market- many shops are just selling identical stuff. Not much of varieties. People can be very rude esp those selling clothing and coffee beans.

Food - personally not very fantastic. But their coffee is indeed very nice.

My suggestion for all is to spend just 2 full days in HCMC. Anything more should go with taking up tours like Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tours. And Sinhtourist is the most popular tour company in Vietnam. You won't go wrong with this agency.

Thanks for sharing bro :)

Hi All

can advise if Hanoi is flooding now?

I wish to go to Hanoi in Mid November as the weather should be quite cooling during that time.

I am trying to have a 5 day/4 night stay in Hanoi.

I hope to go sapa and Halong Bay.... Is it too rush for 5 days /4 night trip?

The weather is fine. My parents just came home from Hanoi last week. But they didn't go Sapa, only from HCM up to Halong Bay.

Hanoi advise (Sapa and Ninh Binh)

Hi !!
Need some advise for Sapa and Ninh Binh

1. Sapa (about 2 nights enough? not counting the train rides)
A)
Should I book a tour from Hanoi, to include train/hotel/tour ?
Will the price be much cheaper than as compared to I book everything myself seperately?

Looking at about USD100 per night for room (for 2) in Sapa.
Maybe Chau Long Sapa Hotel II ?

B) If I book from Hanoi, which other agency besides Sinh Tourist to recommend? They only leave on weekends, and abit restrictive on hotel/train choice.

C) If I book hotel/train myself, I should be able to get the local Sapa day tours/packages after I reach Sapa?
Any places to recommend for me to get the tours from?
OR any MUST VISIT places?

Is village stay highly recommended?

2) Ninh Binh Tam Coc
Thinking of going to ninh binh/ tam coc as well... looks very nice from the pics
Any tour agencies to recommend besides Sinh Tourist?

In my opinion, if you stay in Sapa for 2 nights bk a tour agency for train/hotel/tour.

you can bk the whole tour package in both Hanoi or Sapa as there are alot of agency providing these services. Do a google search or look up tripadvisor for review of the tour agency and hotel.

Do a homestay in one of the village in Sapa.

if weather permit go to Tram Ton Pass and at the same time view Mt. Fansipan as you will pass by it when you go Tram Ton Pass.

Cat Cat Village is within walking distance, you can do a DIY walk from the town area.

Trek up Mt. Hamrong to have a full view of the Sapa town.

That all :)

Im no expert in this but i went to HCMC in June alone this year.

Day 1
Check in hotel
Take a map and start walking around the city, visiting places like the church, the post office, reunification palace, war museum, ben thanh market, cityhall, backpacker area and stuffs.

Day 2
Book a day tour out of the city, maybe to CaoDai Temple and Vietnam war tunnel for around 10-12USD. back at night go for ben thanh night market

Day 3
Getting ready to check out and leave HCMC. visit those place you haven been to. maybe chinatown?

Hope this helps.

Hi guys,

Need advice here. Should I book the tour with Sinh Tourist or go there and book? Any chance if there is no slot on that day itself if I were to book there?

Book with Sinh tourist, they are very organized and provide good service at very affordable prices, go to their main website and see the tours prices, if im not wrong they still got the discount.

I heard ( or more accurately read) that it is common.
Another alternative way would have been to give them a photocopy (which I read most will accept)

Just remember to pick it up as u check out
