same idea have many , but my main concern who the one to bank in the cash daily .... Cause vn now all the cost is low, so profit margin high

Are you looking at retail/food biz or simply as distributor/wholesaler there? Ya main concern is who can look after your biz there, trusted people. I have ILs but they are in 60s, though still active and healthy and have done biz and all sorts of trades in the past.

How we wish we could be there to establish biz, many opportunities and lower barrier of entry in terms of costs though admin wise could be tough with their gov. But got school going kid and baby...sigh.

koala, remembered i said education is a damn good sector in vn as vietnamese sees singapore with very good education?

got ppl do liao and do damn big..

We know that for sure for sometime already but we thought childcare services are even more lacking in vn. Even liaise with a branded franchise to go in and they are interested too but problem is we are here, hard to have a plan to open there. Nobody to help. We got a relative who is a teacher also planning to go into this but no news so far from her as we are looking at working with her.

any of those you mention is ok to try as capital required is low, and if it fail, losses will not be great.. good for start up

actually i know 1 singaporean guy along pham ngu lao, opened a restaurant, and is actually doing well. He has many other businesses and many lobangs there as well. i did talked to him about retail/clothings opening over there and he has the sources that are available outskirt and says that it is very cheap if in mass/bulk.

Also, many people do art&craft things there, bring back to sg and sell as well. Profit is very high cos they target the specific demand/market.

Have a friend who is cambodian, family does education in PP. Apparently i think the school is the biggest and most well-known in PP whereby students are from rich families and associated with high ranking official.

Education in cambodia, vietnam and myanmar, may seem to be a very good choice due to the demand. However, one may need to source for good teachers and facilities to ensure the standard is there.

Anyone can tell me what is better to carry on a trip to Vietnam - USD or VND? Accommodation is prepaid, only need to carry for transport (taxi/bus), food and shopping.

VND ... if u r going to bar or cafe, sometimes they accept both vnd and usd
if u r paying usd, is slightly more expensive ...
