If you wanna bring any food, nuts , dried fruits, just make sure that they are all sealed properly.

Usually I will just grab those snacks which are officially seal-packed or air tight... From Lotte Mart or Co op Mart or Vinmart+

Grab has no surcharge except the additional 10k airport entry charge. 1pm is more than enough time for you to reach airport if you take grab.
Get the dried food from supermarkets like co op, which is their version of NTUC. If you decides to buy from Ben thanh market, note that prices are 3x more. Do some bargaining.

You can always take grabcar to diamond plaza and have a few games of bowling

Or head down to a nice chic bar or cafe and chill

Or go to an authentic massage for a good 2-3 hrs full body massage with detox, exfoliation etc

Or go to a hair salon for a good hair spa or scalp treatment

Such luxury spa treatment in Singapore can easily cost 500, 600 bucks but in Vietnam it's only like 1/4 or 1/3 of the cost.

Next month I am going to Vietnam to clean my teeth...filling and Probably extract out one tooth... All for only like 100USD. If I don't extract tooth. It's only like 50USD

I just did a quick check on flights to Hanoi for dec. How decent is vietair? Or can go cheaper than this in upcoming months? Last yr i check for HCM, scoot had promo at $14x. Dunnoe if Hanoi will have the same or not.

SIA pricing for 12-15 dec is $227 all in, quoted by Hidewhere Singapore Facebook via their NATAS promo. Checking with them on timing but i presume it shld be same as what is shown online for that dates.

To be more exact. 2hrs before the flight. Since your flight is at 355pm. It should be vn657?

Estimated boarding time 320pm.

Check out 1pm. 5-10mins for them to check your rooms before they let you go off.

Call for grab. Wait 1 min for confirmation.

Wait for Grab to arrive. Depending on their current location. 5-10min.

1:20pm. Hop onto Grab.

If the driver go by the "usual route" to the airport, plus not-so-heavy traffic during 1-2pm lunch time... It should take around 30-40mins.

Reach airport departure hall Ard 2pm
Q up to get boarding pass. 20mins gone.

2:20pm

Q up at immigration and security clearance. Unknown.

Let's say max 40 mins.

3:00pm +/- 5mins.

Just nice. You can walk to the toilet for a quick "business" and then slowly walk over to the boarding gate.

And get onboard

Once you're seated in the plane... PRAY HARD that no idiotic passenger decides to be ultra late and cause a massive delay

Last Sunday, a Vietnamese family boarded the plane at 405pm (scheduled flight was at 3:55pm) and caused the plane to be re scheduled for take off at 4:40pm

Cleaning Gum starts from 10 USD
Full teeth cleaning and polishing under local anesthetics around 100 USD
Operculectomy around 25USD

the pricing is like 20-50% more expensive than Thailand but its still cheaper than SIN

227 for sq to hanoi? That's a good price if it's sq and not silkair flight. Hanoi airfare is usually more ex than hcmc.

Hmm good qn. I shall ask the hidewhere SG for more details. They seem to have rake up 1k comments/queries but i have not seen anyone make booking yet. FB only shows 2 reviews so im skeptical.

If i based on SQ website, its $267 for same date and presume similar timing.

There are only 2 entrances located very close together for Terminal 2. Not much of a difference which you alight at.

My mistake, i was looking at Vietjet. Anyway, the SIA promo of $227 is for 01 Jan 2020 to 31 Mar 2020. Dec 2019 will be $261 onwards.

in the last 2 - 3 years, The hanoi weather during Dec is crazy.

30degree today, 20 degree tomorrow.. and then 30 degrees again...
the next day drop to 16

besides that, the air quality of Hanoi towards the end of the year is quite bad.
I highly suggest to stand by some face mask

I really miss the Dec weather in Hanoi around 5 to 6 years ago.... around 16 to 20 degrees, with light rain
evening time, sit in a cafe near Hoan Kiem lake, enjoy egg coffee and watch the sunset

I bought vietnam airlines ticket to hanoi early this month for december trip. Costs $316. Vietjet cost similar prices. Might as well go for full fledge airline.
