My suggestion for hotel
You can look at Citadines Ha long to spend 1 night there.

For your travel back to Hanoi

https://m.vietnamlocalbus.com/bus-to-halong-bay

There are buses going from ha long to Hanoi every 1-2 hours

Around 220K vnd per person

You can ask the hotel reception to help you.

Tourism linked cities like:
Hanoi-Hai Phong-Ha long
Hue- Danang-Hoi An

It's Very easy to arrange transportation between these cities

Thanks a lot, i will use that hotel as a reference on the area that i should be staying in. And from there, research on bus to Hanoi and its location.

Just to confirm, the hotel u recommend is LA CITADINE HA LONG 36 HOTEL? I saw they have another hotel launching in 2020 Q4 though.

2D1N halong bay or day tour?

The overnight at HLB means have to check out and then check in of hotel at Hanoi, dragging luggage along.
How do you all arrange?
Is there beautiful scenery at night or is it just pitch dark around and so early sleep on boat?

Price difference quite a lot between day tour ($47 from Klook) & 2D1N ($180). Is it worth it?

Yeap that citadine hotel is still building actually... You can use that as a reference. Cuz that area has alot of hotels because it's along the main road going in and out of Ha Long

Hi everyone.. im heading to HCMC tmr for 5 days 4 night, will be staying in district 1. solo female traveller here, any advice, esp safety wise?

below is my itinerary, any suggestions?
Day 1: Touch down at 1055, should i take songviet or grabcar to district 1? cafe apartment in the afternoon followed by saigon sky deck, any suggestions where else can i go around that area?
Day 2: mekong delta via klook
Day 3: i booked a day trip with klook, initially i booked a city tour + cu chi tunnel, however im thinking of changing it to Cu Chi Tunnels & Cao Dai Temple, is it worth the trip to the temple?
Day 4: Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, is it do-able?
Day 5: head to chinatown? my flight is at 3.55pm, what time should i leave for the airport? im planning to take either grabcar or cab.

Thank you!

Welcome to hcmc!

Day 1 seems to be very free After you checked in.
Solo female from airport go by songviet because of safety

You can check out the various cafes around there along Nguyen Hue. Or go down to chinatown After dinner, you can head down to a few rooftop bars

Day 2 night: Bui vien bar street

Last day... Chill until 12pm, check out and then head down to airport.

Does anybody here have any feedback on what Nha Trang is like?

From what i understand, it is a coastal seaside city in the southern part of Vietnam.

Anyone here has any feedback?

I checked the flight scheduling and there is no direct flight in between Singapore and Nha Trang.

Will have to take a Jetstar Asia from Changi to HCM international airport. From there switch to Jetstar Pacific (Viet-owned budget airline) and travel to Nha Trang.

Yes. Quite safe. Just have the address ready.
Actually you don't need to take song Viet. You can book a grab at the airport. Cheaper.
I just arrived. The immigration is chaotic. First time see so huge crowd.

If want to take Grab from the airport. Can we take directly after exiting the arrival hall or need to go outside of the airport?

You can take directly outside the arrival hall. Just make it clear to the driver which pillar you're at as a landmark. And pay 10k more to the driver as the airport entry fees. It's a norm. 10k is about 60 cents.

Make sure it's a 5 star driver. Otherwise, spend a little more and book Grabplus
