I'll be staying @ Palace Hotel Saigon from 8 dec to 18 dec. (school's trip).
Thinking if I should continue staying at that hotel from 18 to 21. or anyone has recommendations for a hotel nearby?
will be staying alone
I believed it is another Goldsmith shop just opposite
I tailored my suit in hanoi at less than half the price of what three Singapore tailors quoted me. In terms of worksmanship and cloth quality, I was quite satisfied. I did some research beforehand so I knew what I wanted and where I wanted to tailor my suit at (i.e. https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Attraction_Review-g293924-d4178732-Reviews-Bambou_Silk-Hanoi.html).
Sadly, no recommendations for boat/cruise. Until today, I don't know if I got a good deal or if I overpaid... But regardless, Halong Bay is worth a night. Unforgettable sunrise and sunset.
As you only have 7 days, I suggested combining cu chi tunnels and mekong delta. Spending one whole day at the Mekong and squeezing cu chi tunnels the day before means you have less time to cover the war remnants museum, reunification palace, ben thanh market in HCMC, which isn't ideal.
Also, Vietnam, as a former french colony, has very value for money french fine dining. Like all fine dining experiences, this can't be rushed. I recommend this for lunch (https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Rest...d1953023-Reviews-Ty_Coz-Ho_Chi_Minh_City.html) and this for dinner (https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Rest...Villa_French_Restaurant-Ho_Chi_Minh_City.html). Reservations recommended for both. Reserve early for the second one.
Just came back from hcm. The rate inside benh thanh really gives better rates !
