can PM me where the few money changer offering that rate? cheers!

hello sisters and brothers..
i will be going to vietnam hcm and vung tau from 24 june to 28 june..
will be staying at beautiful saigon 3 for hcm and green hotel for vung tau..
would appreciate if you could tell me what can we do in these 2 places.. what are the must tries (no insects please.. >.<)..
thanks in advance..
must ask is it including adminssion fee of the tunnel? or just transportation only? lunch included or not... etc
Been a long time since I was in Vietnam. Anyone knows the estimated 'normal' going rate via meter from airport to city centre (ie Bui Vien area)? Tks.

going for 4d3n in may to HCMC with gf... first time to vietnam
which hotel most convenient? nice and not too expensive?
what can i do there for 4d3n ah?

Change around SGD$50 at HCMC Airport for a taxi to your hotel
once u are in the city area, proceed to Ben Than Market for better rates.
dont go to those money changers, instead proceed to those gold shops just outside of ben than market (iirc , its the west exit . or if u enter the main enterance where there is huge roundabout, it shld be the left side.)
i guess he meant singapore, but usually u have to go like joo chiat to change. usually with those vietnamese shops.yeh i read this piece of advice , mentioned 100s pages back.
anyway he mentioned in sg theres rate 16800 , not sure if he meant sg Singapore or sg Saigon. LOL.... so we'll just see.![]()
how many days will you be staying each for the places mentioned.
since ur hcmc hotel is already booked, i suggest u get day trips out of saigon . most popular day trips are to the mekong delta, cu chi tunnel and cao dai temple.
for hcmc - try authentic coffee by the roadside cafe. head down to bui vien at night for roadside beer and cheap snacks (griled octopus, beef, chicken) . ben than market for shopping - dried goods , souvienrs, cheap adidas clothes. head up to bitexco tower for a city view or romantic dinner looking at the city skyline. dinner along the saigon river in the cruise.
vung tau - cheap seafood ! trek up to the Jesus statue overlooking vung tau city. must be properly attired before they allow to go up the statue, scaled down version like in Rio (brazil)
mekong delta will be good .hello..
thanks for your reply.. i am actually stayin 3d2n for each places.. and there will be 2 elderly with me.. so i doubt i will actually go for the few day tours you said.. =( guess i will jux stick ard my hotel..

mekong delta will be good .
seen many elderly folks join that tour. not much walking.
if given a choice, i will choose mui ne over vung tau![]()

Was thinking if someone can share with me those cruises which u all have experience before? We are looking at some mid range cruise.![]()
Sorry if I hijacked this thread..
We have decided to go Vietnam (Hanoi) since I can't find a Hanoi thread in here. So I just post in this thread.
We have plan to go to halong bay via cruise. But when we tried google that. We have got ourselves lots of choices. We nearly faint.

Went there donkey years ago. I remember I paid less than 100USD for 2, for 2 days 1 night trip. The price has since went up. I went with sinh cafe tour. Booked next day trip and next morning, picked me up from my apartment.
The itinerary is almost the same, the only different is u stay in a 5 stars cruise or budget "junk".
If I go again, I will still stick to budget. The only moment I like about Halong Bay was night time. Friends gathered on top of the "junk" drinking beer, tcss under the sky.
paid about 100 usd for 3D2N, one night boat one night cat-ba island , best trip best choice , was worth it. i would suggest the budget , theres really not much luxury you can have on a boat

Wow that's cheap.. but so long time liao. Thanks for the input.
I also got see the sinh tourist group in hanoi. Thru website. Seems that they have a limited cruise to halong bay.
Last time go vietnam also engage them as our tour guide. Price not bad.
