Hi guys,
thinking of visiting HCMC early jan for a short getaway (around 5 days 4 night) before uni starts again, would like to ask some questions. Group of 3-4 friends. We intend to spend a few days at HCMC.
I've been to HCMC before, visited places like Cuchi tunnel, Ben thanh market, Can Tho Mekong Delta floating market, Reunification Palace etc.
Interested in visiting other parts of Vietnam, any recommendations in consideration of the above?
1. Thinking of visiting either Dalat/Nha Trang then return to HCMC
2. Also, what attractions/activities to do at Dalat/Nha Trang?
3. Transportation from HCMC to Dalat/Nha Trang
4. Any other recommendations?
Thanks!
for da lat, you can either fly or take bus. I took phuong trang bus from hcmc 12usd or so (book and depart / arrive from de tham Street, which is perpendicular to both bui vien and pham ngu lao street) daytime bus takes 8 hours, I heard overnight will be 5 hours. at da lat bus station, phuong trang will provide you transport to your hotel in da lat for free. in da lat a popular tour will be easy rider which are motor bike tours. seeing that you have a group, you may go for a car tour instead (can book from your accommodation or any of the several travel agencies) probably around 25 usd per person. for mine it brought me to some flower or fruit farm, silk factory, cricket factory, elephant waterfalls, some temple and crazy house (and maybe a couple of other attractions that I forgot) for a full day tour. a big plus in da lat would be the lovely weather. please feel free to pm me if you would like to ask further.
