So far the connectivity dropouts have not been long enough for my Asus router to failover (1 min outage). It will keep re-associating itself onto the network and restore connectivity. But the latest dropout (2122h) has lasted long enough to actually failover to my Heya hotspot, before auto restoring to VQ (all within 3mins)even when you have connectivity.. the latency for certain routes are horrendous.
imho may not have a quick fix. if you have redundancy just swing over of the night and come back tomorrow to if it's all sortedout.
Perhaps VQ learnt from SMRT.What’s happening to VQ? It keeps going up and down every few minutes, no official announcements, and no one is answering the calls.
what other ISP is cheap for backup
static ipv4. Paying full price since contract ends N years ago. Maybe really time to switch to other ISP.are you on cgnat? or static ipv4?
my failover only kickin around 6pm+ before that all good for me. but since then its been roller coaster.
if you are on static ipv4. good to set the wan ipv4 to static instead of of dhcp. it will mitigate vq dhcp server failures.static ipv4. Paying full price since contract ends N years ago. Maybe really time to switch to other ISP.

How's Simba for backup ? Anyone tested them out? Debating on whether I should just get MR as main and VQ as backup until the end of my VQ contract.
I do know my static ip address. But what do I set for subnet mask and default gateway in the router fields. Usu I just set it to automatic ip, and I will just get the same ip address all the timeif you are on static ipv4. good to set the wan ipv4 to static instead of of dhcp. it will mitigate vq dhcp server failures.
Seems to be working for me now but abit sluggish
Some people are having success by changing their DNS, but this seems like a bigger issue. They're not sharing any information about what's happening on their end. They'll just stay quiet until it's resolved, then everyone will move on.Just got back home and it’s still down for me since 6:15pm. Using static IP and Cloudflare/Google DNS.
Same for all isp la. You know the issue also doesn't help Not like you can go down and fix it.
