Tried the SIM card with temp no on my mifi device. No data.

only know that the APN is different.

they are using APN with username and password.

I tot the APN setting is stored inside SIM card by default?

somehow my device is using the APN “internet”. I supposed it is read from the SIM card?

Nope, it's hardcoded by the manufacturer.

They see the IMSI, the first 5-6 digits, to determine the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code). 525-01 is SingTel, where MCC = 525 (Singapore) and MNC = 01 (SingTel for Singapore).
So the manufacturer will read the look-up table (LUT), load the carrier profile / APN based on the MCC-MNC combo.

If there's no records in the LUT, they'll either not provision any APN settings, or have some random generic APN (that fits most operators worldwide).
-> This is why most modems do not know what to do when inserting 52510 (TPG Telecom) lines, and require the user to enter the correct APN settings manually.

I think internet was an APN used by SingTel for GPRS dial-up connection (*99#), and was depreciated already.

thanks for the link, have read through but does it means that it is the bank side having issues? but before port in, both banks otp sms working fine , any help on how to solve this issue…thanks

90% issues yes with the bank application, i have this issue before my previous port in i.e youtrip card etc. only way to solve is to contact bank or vivifi if your bank is not listed in FAQ list.

on my phone setting, under the “phone” selection, the “My number “ is still showing the temporary number.
can ask if this is correct? I tried changes the number to my port in number but after restarting, go back to the temporary number. do you encounter this ? thanks
when I call on my phone, the receiver caller ID shows my port in number.
also, number porting on Vivifi shows success.

did you get sms from vivifi your port in is successful ? So if it is port in issue perhaps the port in have issue from previous telco. When you call out is it showing your old number or temp number?

yes, I received this sms …is this sms to confirm the port in is already?

Welcome. Your mobile number porting request has been successfully ported into ICYMI. Thank you for choosing us. Please switch to your new ICYMI mobile SIM card and stay connected instantly. Let us get started

when I make a out going call ( ie call out) , my port in number shows up correctly ( not the temporary number )
