Definitely no issue, since it's not dependent on VoLTE (there's no VoLTE) unlike TPG.

You can even use a 3G capable "not-smart" phone if you want.
In fact, VIVIFI doesn't even have VoLTE. You have 5G phone, can't even use 4G Voice. Only 4G data and 3G voice at most. 😂

I helped my niece switch her number from M1 under her father's name to Vivifi under her name. Change of ownership is easy. When request for port in, need to scan owners IC also. OTP will be sent to the port in number to verify. Process was smooth.

I personally prefer to get the SIM card first and try out the signal etc before request for port-in. Eg if you collect SIM card at 2pm, can test for a couple of hours. Call, SMS, use data based on temp number. If satisfied, can submit port in request before cutoff time (can't remember exact time should be in late afternoon or evening), and port-in will trigger same night (except weekends, PH and eve of PH).

Just take note of 2 things :
1. Vivifi bills monthly. So if activate SIM card nearer end of the month, it is prorated to remaining days and can be quite tight to last till end of month. Feb is a short month so be careful.

2. Vivifi now has option to apply with myinfo or without myinfo. The activation method and time is different. So read up the difference before deciding whether to apply with myinfo or not.
Thanks! Do you mean it is recommended to sign up earlier in the month instead?

Got recycled number from Vivifi.
Just 2 weeks into the "new" number got ppl call me already,
caller asked me whether i book taxi, why nobody there...

Then i did a quick check on PayNow and Grab Transfer, the number is registered to somebody.
Feel like cancelling the line already. zzz

Anyone knows which telco offers new numbers?
I need to add lines for my business.

Wah. You very alert. I never thought of checking paynow and Grab transfer. Like that very dangerous. If your friends paynow to you end up in someone else accounts.

Suggest you feedback to IMDA. On the basis of paynow, dangerous to let telcos recycle numbers.

Telcos recycle numbers. But there's supposed to be a cooling off period before they assign numbers to new customers. Some years back, it was 6m-1y before new customers get the number.

In any case, when I signed up for my work number under GOMO a few years ago, I expected it to be reused since it was a 9 series number. In the initial few months, I did get some messages and calls asking for some girl. When I explained I just signed up for the number and to put the word out that their friend is no longer at that number, people are usually kind enough to update their address books and tell their friends.

If you really want fresh numbers, you could find out IMDA's number block assignments and wait for those.

No contract and looking at the 9gb plan.
You can work out yourself then see if enough. Eg if activate on 24 Feb means 5 days left in Feb. Data will be about 5/28 x 9 GB = 1.6 GB.

So do you think you can manage with 1.6 GB from 24 to 28 Feb ?

If activate at beginning of mth have less issue.
