iirc SPDR S&P 500 ETF about ~13%. Okay maybe most won’t go there and prefer local companies.
You mean 1.3%?

I see is approx USD6 per year, but the share price is USD400 now.

If I don't even factor in Forex and say 1:1, USD8000 only yields USD120 per year.

And we are here saying 18*12 = SGD216 for SGD8000 investment, and that's on the recent low side.

Was talking about return, never mind yours was on their dividends. My bad.

What’s their total return including capital appreciation rather than the dividend yield alone?

SCHW are good too.

Expecting 13% returns going forward is very optimistic, probably overly so. Most economists expect half that number in the future.

Hi guys, I am thinking of switching from MR data to Vivifi. My main concern is network stability at home (Marine Parade area).
Previously I tried Gomo, network is not stable at home. Since Gomo & Vivifi are using the same Singtel network, I am worry. Can
anyone from Marine parade area share your experiences using Vivifi? Thanks in advance...

Which part of Marine Parade? I visit people regularly at Marine Terrace and had no issues with my network.

Parkway Parade also not too bad, although I've had moments of overcongestion. Had issues once at Marine Vista though, when I went for a wake.

I am staying at Marine Terrace. It's good to know there is no issue, thanks...
BTW what is the average network speed in the area?

Oh, I don't do speed tests while visiting people. :s13:

Have just ported my Singtel SIM-only out to Starhub (cos it's cheaper) just a few days back, so I can't test.

Going through my old tests, further down the road, at Katong area (Sea Avenue/Lor Stangee area, near where Boon Tong Kee used to be), I could get about 160Mbps down. But I recognise that's not near enough to Marine Terrace.

at home should be on wifi so data speed doesnt matter much?

perhaps you could sign up for the Plus plan @$9 for 9GB data a month. if it's good then do a port in. If not, you can use it as a 2nd SIM and terminate after 2 billings.

Does vivifi Plus plan support roaming calls/SMS, whereby I don't subscribe any roaming package but still able to receive/make calls while overseas?
