Its not an add on arld. It an upgrade.
That why i am asking where do you see it in the app for the add on.
Also in future (currently some telco offer $7) for 5G add on can drop in price.
It's a $10 plan, which is already scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of costing. ;)

Do remember that these are still businesses, who still have to make money. If they already discounted the base plan for you, paying a bit more for 5G (just under $3, in this case), with a cheaper overall cost to you, is probably not such a bad idea. ;)

For plans with 5G, under $20 is a pretty good deal, especially considering they have yet to recoup CapEx. Even deployment of NSA requires the network owner to upgrade 4G-only stations/cells with NSA 5G/4G cells. These costs have to be passed on to the customer too.

Yep. But I'm not asking for $7 5G. $10 is fine for me. Also because current company policy only allows me to claim $10 for work line, so it makes no sense to pay more. :s13:

The inconsistent of $19.90 vs $7 add on with Vivifi don't add up for now.
The base plan from Telco S for the their MVNO seem like 100GB for $10 after 12months.

It's just the Heya plan being offered to MVNO partners, with the added benefit of roaming so they can compete with SIMBA.

Nothing inconsistent here. This is a market share grab for EOY reporting. If you step back and look at all plans with 5G, $19.90 is still probably one of the lowest, especially when you include CallerID costs. No way they are profiting sufficiently to recoup any CapEx once you consider their operating overheads.

Of course. That's a customer's perspective. But it doesn't hurt to understand the landscape.

Also, I think customers are being a bit too unkind to telcos. It wasn't that long ago when $25-40/mo was considered the lower end of the monthly subscription, with many opting for $50+ after CIS discounts as their mainstream.

As now telco no longer retain their loyalty customers, might as well go for the most lowest price plans.
