I used their new Sim since 2 days ago

I still see my iPhone showing VIVIFI temporary number instead of my number. Is it I must do setting or the porting not complete. :(
The temp number will forever be there. It's a bummer for those using iMessage
Will disable the iMessage remove the temp number?

Refer to the posts below for the fix.

For port over customers, telco should just inform their customers (preferably with a note on the SIM card itself) not to insert the new SIM card until 7 to 8 hours after their old SIM card has no more signal (which typically indicates that port over is completed). This will avoid all the temporary number hiccups.

Some people are so eager to insert and use the new SIM card first but end up screwing themselves.
People are impatient. ;) You can't change user behaviour.

This problem bothers iPhone users more because of iMessage and Facetime. Android users are not so affected. Perhaps it may change if Android Messages becomes more popular, but I doubt that will be the case. People are too entrenched in WhatsApp, and that in itself is annoying for other user behaviour reasons like some people making group after group after group. WhatsApp doesn't help by not allowing users to organise the groups/chats unlike Telegram.

VIFI really needs to do better with their website, it's an amateur's job or someone who is not trained with the basic fundamentals.

It's so confusing with all the large pictures having tiny details of their plans everywhere on their poster pictures. People have to look everywhere only to realise that they have to photo hunt the details from the pictures. This also gives very low assurance to the customer.

In professional term, poorly tuned for conversion. No comparison tables, or just a normal table with straight up information for reference. Navigation is very limited. Too much colors and pictures drawing attention everywhere which people will just stop looking and exit the website.

Improving the design of their website could easily increase 20 to 50 percent sales. Stop wasting money with their whatever agency pumping those posters. They are counter effective .

The part about porting is also very confusing. Do a simple instructional video or have more detailed info for apple users at least.

I believe they let a programmer or an IT company that specialise in integration to design the website. Not someone who is trained to develop successful websites. :(

Sure blame the dev / vendor. I tell you this kind of mess usually is by management or customer themselves. You can give them a good work and they will reject it for the one they want.

I don't think they use any agency, work looks produced by a poly intern using ms publisher with 3D characters rendered 20 years ago.

The interface is atrocious from a UI view.
Port in is ok, but a lot of links to read through.

At least their email is responsive compared to other telcos and delivery is fast.

If you feel wordy or need to read through. It has already failed. You grind through because you got to finish reading it to start using it. Many would just keep asking cso straight.

Using button, clean interface, spaces, etc could make the information easier to read. Less can be more.

If they design their UI well. There's no need for so many CSO handling. They are wasting resources and those monies saved that could be used for promotions, development, ads, etc.

Critical information that are always required should be found in 10 seconds.

Go to website. => Menu => Porting in, then sub branch out.

Now click on their menu they put mainly their plans with different names. The name of the plans mean nothing to someone visiting. Only themselves are familiar with it. Their plans could be consolidated into one page category then compared or introduced in a cleaner way.

I got a feeling is a lady boss or management. Look at the usage of pink. The contrast and everything is so out of contrast. The font is also not clean enough.

Right now I'm pretty sure is their website analytics show visitors but many left immediately aka high bounce rate or did not stay for long, little conversion to actual sales. It's like a fishing net full of holes.
I also have a hunch they are wasting alot of monies pushing traffic in via ads but captured very little fishes. Monies wasted.

My advice for them is go find a decent agency to revamp the website. This is my kind and truthful advice. :(

They have some integration custom code done. The boss probably thought they are stuck with the same vendor.

Should just get some IT companies to look at.
If the Web domain, database all under the vendor name of account, then abit tricky.

More like why pay for something that’s working good enough. Boss don’t want to spend, they don’t even have vivifi app.

I go Google the CEO.
PhD in computer engineering from NTU

Probably DIY.
I suggest that he take up some skillcredit course to learn some basics in Web design. :(

Ceo diy really makes no business sense. His time is worth more than outsourcing to some dev / vendor.

Looking at the price they offer with SingTel backbone, no complaint haha

Anyway that's just a 1 time process.

Now I'm just looking forward to them enabling the VoLTE, nothing else.
