Have to clarify with them since this article is new, but from what it states, it suggests that it refers to current subscribers on existing plans with them. So just like other operators with an ownership change mechanism, there's a service fee for that administrative process.

Last I recall, transfer during porting is different because they register to the new owner directly when the line is imported into their system. So there is not actually a change of owner (you can view it as the changing happening while in transition). There's no extra admin work to update your particulars because they just register it under the new owner from the start.

May I ask if the transfer of ownership during porting in is FOC or need to pay the $22 fee as stated in this document that was updated 6 days ago?

OK, finally my SMS works after porting over. However, my network setting is still showing the temporary number. When I call other mobile number, the temporary is still being shown. May I know when will this "temporary number" be replaced by the number I ported over? I started porting over since 12 Jan. Thank you.

Once you can receive sms at your ported number, there’s no more temporary number. Probably your phone not aware it’s number has changed.

sometime re-insert sim / reboot phone works

i have done all the suggestions (restart phone, re insert sim card, reset the network) but it is still showing old number.

Nvm. I found a way to change it. First, change the network to 4G. Change the number manually. Then change network back to 5G. When I was at 5G, the number will revert back to temporary number after I changed it. It’s resolved now. Thanks everyone for your help.

Does Vivifi have the option to block international incoming calls? Planning to switch out from my StarHub mobile in a few weeks once contract is up
