Thanks, noticed from amazon reviews that these faceplates aren't flushed flat behind, thus not suitable.

Decided to just leave the small hole in the wall as it is - especially since it is obscured by a cabinet.

Meanwhile, new TV just got mounted up with a bundled mounting kit.

Anyone need an old mounting kit that was for my old 55" LG? If yes, please pm me.

Do u still have that lg mounting?

If buy from store in sg, for > 40" LG do have free bracket and installation. They are professional installer.

Is this still valid? Even for FHD models? If so LG is indeed worth considering. Thanks.

Yes,it is same thing but must be at least or > 40" Tv. Some stores sell super old model at super low price then they take away the bracket. Always ask for free gift when buying and how many years warranty. That Bracket is the minimum. Better model even have blu ray or sound bar during their sales period.

Pls Guide: 4K Display TV: Size, Mount, Ideas - Tilted Angled Down, Corner, Flush to wall

Pls Guide: 4K Display TV: Size, Mount, Ideas - Tilted Angled Down, Corner, Flush to wall

Please advise on 4K Display TV - Size + Mount & mounting ideas - Tilted Angled Down, Corner, Flush to wall

Suggestions on TV size & Mounts/ ideas on designing & implementing this correctly.

Will mostly be using this for computing - no gaming - Serious work with high res 4K space.

Needed Positioning Scenarios:

- Display TV can be Tilted/ Decline Angled appropriately | Much above head mounting
- Need variable/ changeable decline Angle / tilt to find sweet spot
- As I'll be sitting on chair back reclined at 135 deg:
- Why? - Anti Slouching Posture; Neck, Spine & Shoulder saver
+ Standing usage as well - Have an Ergotron arm for bluetooth keyboard

- Rotate Display in Corner at 45 deg to both Walls - Pos.2
OR
- Rotate Display to be Flush parallel to a Wall/ Walls - Pos.1, 3 & 4

Will probably put whiteboard paint/ coating on Walls for use

Based on the tools/ articles on: rtings dot com

TV Size to Distance Calculator and Science

Based on TV Size - Widths here, I could fit these in 51/ 52" of Wall to the right.
42" 36.6"
46" 40.1"
50" 43.6"
55" 47.9"

But the larger it is the more front space it takes up when at 45 deg in Corner - Pos.2

Plan, Elevation & Dimensions attached {Do ask, will update if I missed something}:

Right Wall: Brick - Thicker - Probably Stronger?
Back Wall: Siporex Board - Slimmer wall - Will check with Archi/Engg of its load capacity

SIPOREX' - lightweight Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)
Manufactured from the same components as conventional concrete: cement, sand and water in addition to aluminum powder and other additives

You can get the bracket but it is almost impossible for a lay man to install it nicely like a professional. Old model bracket may not be suitable for new model Tv use in future. To enjoy more, suggest at least a 49" UHD Tv.

Honestly such Tv has limited life span and 5 yrs old model is quite old and do not have many new features so it is waste of time and $ doing the bracket. Suggest that you wait for it to expire then get another bigger LG Tv or buy a new Tv during sales and use your existing tv in the bedroom.

Yup, I took your recommendation and bought a 55" TV during the recent IT Show. So now new TV mounting will be free but however, I'm going to move my 42" into my bedroom, and as such need to get someone to install for me. I bought a NB P5 arm bracket and trying to find someone to install me later this month ...

That's good. Now new model can enjoy more and it is cheap unless 3D Tv then a bit more.

For LG TVs, are they providing LG brackets or generic brackets?

I was told by the BD salesman that if I want to choose LG brackets, I need to top-up $100.

Universal bracket without arm is free. Universal bracket with arm is $150. No brand mentioned. Installer said all same same.

Hi, anyone here use the free LG wall mount? If so, could you give me the dimension of the wall mount itself (and model/brand if possible)? And if you changed to the swivel type, please provide the dimension of the mount or the model of the mount. Btw, it is for 49" TV. Reason is that I will tile up my wall and leave the sufficient space (WxL) for the TV installation.

Thank you!

what mount are u looking at?

i.e stationary (TV is fix), tilting (TV can tilt up and down) or articulating (TV is attached to an arm and has wider range of movement)

and the size of your TV?

Hey Lunar,

i've got a 49 inch sony bravia x8000c. i'd like if it could extend forward, tilting isint important, but nice to have.

are there mounts that can adjust the height, i have 2 bookshelf speakers that are 30 cm tall, and i'm afraid that after i install the mount, i may have measured wrongly and put it too low.

Those free bracket and installation provided when you bought a new TV, is it normal fixed bracket? or full motion arm bracket?
